Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital

This review is entirely for the Government of Telangana: No stars at all. Having vast buildings for Government Offices(like the State Secretariat) doesn't show the development of the state/country - Serving the poor people with reasonable amenities does. This Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital is famous for Free Eye Treatment/Surgeries but the facilities are at the worst condition now. No one is taking care of the poor people struggling for treatment who come here from small villages. Attached images shows how poor the hospital and equipment is here. Still, the trainee doctors are doing their best and managing to serve the poor old people - Appreciate them. No sufficient chairs to sit here in the hospital. During the eye checkup, patients need to go through several rooms for checkup and OLD/ILL PATIENTS NEED TO STAND IN THE QUEUE LINES FOR SEVERAL HOURS. No drinking water facility is available for free. However the food is available for Rs. 5/- you need to buy the water bottle for Rs. 20/- in the medical shop. Although there is no space to sit and eat a food. Patients have to go around the trees to sit and have food. There is no please for Hygiene word here. To get the free service, poor patients have to struggle here until the treatment is completed. In view of serving the poor, the government should take the initiative and develop this hospital. I'm not sure whom to complain but I hope this review helps a bit.

**Feedback for Glaucoma Department – Room No. 20** I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience I had during my recent visit to the glaucoma department (Room No. 20) for my father's check-up. Unfortunately, the visit was highly unsatisfactory and felt like a complete waste of time. There appeared to be a significant lack of attention and care toward patients who did not arrive with referrals. The assistant doctors in the main consultation room seemed to prioritize only referred cases, while others were largely neglected. This approach is not only disheartening but also unprofessional. While I choose not to name any specific doctors out of concern for their professional future, I sincerely hope this feedback serves as a wake-up call. Every patient deserves attention and respectful treatment, regardless of how they were referred. The current state of staff engagement and coordination in this department is poor, and I urge the hospital administration to take corrective action to ensure better patient care moving forward.

I could not believe the system will be this bad !! Start from patient registration to visiting different units !!! All seems to be chaotic and difficult!!! I am wondering as literate person facing this difficulties, what about the illiterate population ???? Over crowded , poor maintenance,electricity’s cut , all outdated equipment being used !! My biggest concern is that so far I have not came across any senior doctor who is attending patient !!! My humble request to authorities to look into the basic issues. It’s painful to see how pathetic is hospital situation and there has been money donation for temple !!!! Could not gone worse then that hospital premises is allocate for such things!!! Where it can be use in logical and practical aspects!!!!

Awesome service Free of cost You don't need to pay. You have to reach 7am to take appointment and Hospital timings 8am to 1pm. Many tests available including scanning. Doctors, training students are awesome they doing their job perfect.

Iam sharing this on 29th November 2024. If ur from a middle class background plz don't visit this hospital. Worst experience ever.better go to some private hospital or clinic coz that can save ur time. It is my 7th visit in last 2 months. Everyone is checking the eyes and sending to some other departments n sections. Opens at 10am closes at 1pm. Nobody feels responsible anymore towards the poor patients who don't afford private hospitals. Only for primary checkup they took 7 days. Some senior doctors r not available all over a week. Extremely disappointed with their services. I hope they do better with the help of new government formed

iam sharing this 27 th feb 2025 in op line some selected patient are taking to lecture hall for students review ,nearly more than hour after that they are leaving at eye checkup. and provide visiting dates for sr.doctors

Making poor and middle class elders to multiple visits and suggesting unnessary scanning and tests to private diagnostics.. with low experiences doctored suggesting wrng guidance to the patients.. look like government hospitals are turning night mare to middle class and poor

Worst hospital,kindly don’t go to this hospital my cosister was declared with eye cancer after taking 2 nd opinion we got to know there is no eye cancer to her.
