The opticians at the Walmart Vision Center in Bessemer did an outstanding job!! They took time to identify my eyewear needs based in my daily activities, made thoughtful recommendations based on those needs, and had my glasses back to me within just a couple of days....Im very happy with both the service and the quality of the glasses themselves. The best part was how much money they saved me compared to what their competitors charge. THANK YOU WALMART VISION CENTER!!

Made frame selection and measurements were completed. Associate said she needed to check my insurance and would call me back early in the week since it was Saturday and she could not get in touch with insurance company on the week end. Over a week has gone by. No call. When I tried to contact them, no one answered the main telephone number. I made a call to customer service and left my number for the store manager to call me. The associate taking my information was very disinterested and sounded very bored. Even though this store is the most conveniently located, it really is not worth the frustration of such poor customer service. Very interested to see if I get that call from the store manager....

First visit, picked out frames. Second visit, pick up glasses. My glasses just weren't right for me so my doctor gave me a new rx. On my next visit, when I gave the new info to the tech (or whoever), I told her what my doctor said about placement of the progressives. I explained several times. I went back to pick up my new glasses later on. I do not know how they reach their measurements, but now I have to hold my head all the way back to read (use the bottom part) and I have no middle area of "progression." Everything was supposed to be moved UPWARD on the lenses. I don't know how that is confusing. My bifocal field of view is literally the size of the tip of my ring finger. I have more headaches now than before I had my eyes checked. And now, I'm passed Warranty, because, of course, "Give your eyes a week or two to adjust."

The doctor is friendly and is pretty good. I found one of the ladies to be very rude, almost where you could tell she did not want to be there. When I came back the next evening to order my daughter's glasses the environment was much better.

Called in to update my information, insurance and make an appointment... it was claimed to be done. I called back later that day just to confirm the time and the young lady that was there said she didn't even see where the other girl put it in... but she told me to just come in. Here it is 10am Saturday morning, I arrive and the tell me they don't take my insurance. Which was the same insurance she updated in the computer the day before Waste of a Saturday all to bad customer service!!! I would give no stars if I could ... these ladies are lost!
