Dr Johnson is the nicest person and a fabulous Dr. The guys who work there are very professional and friendly. I really enjoy going here and have been a patient for over 10 years. I moved 5 years ago and still drive the hour for my appointments because it's worth it. The receptionist at front is not friendly at all but you don't have to spend that much time with her so it's all good!

Staff are both personable and professional. Dr Karen Johnson is thorough in her exam and fully shares and explains results in detail, which is greatly appreciated. Her demeanor is extremely pleasant, which certainly contributes to client comfort. All in all, I would recommend Dr Johnson and Eye Concepts Vision Center to anyone looking for professional eye care.

Eye Concepts in Gilbert is truly first class. Dr. Johnson and her entire staff are outstanding -- professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you feel cared for and never rushed. The office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and everything is explained clearly and thoroughly. The staff is friendly, upbeat, and clearly enjoys what they do, which makes the whole experience comfortable and stress-free. If you're looking for exceptional eye care with a personal touch, I can't recommend Eye Concepts highly enough.

Dr Johnson and team are fantastic. Always friendly, professional, and accommodating. Dr. Johnson is very knowledgeable, and I always feel like I am in good hands. She is also very patient with questions. Highly recommend.

Eye Concepts is great for all your eye care needs. The front office ladies are professional and helpful taking time to explain what my insurance covers and different options for glasses. The Doctor performs a thorough exam and answers all my questions in a speedy manner. I will recommend Eye Concepts to all my family and friends.

My entire family (4 of us) have been loyal patients for the last 5 years. We have loved our experience with the eye doc, she's amazing. Her receptionist however is ALWAYS HORRIBLE!!! She ALWAYS has a bad attitude and speaks to us in a very belittling / condescending tone. Every time I speak to her by phone to order contacts she acts wildly inconvenienced. Today I was scheduled to be seen on a medical visit because I'm having an issue with my vision in my left eye. I called yesterday afternoon to book the appointment, she didn't have anything same but offered me an end of day visit for the following day. I do hair, so I MOVED my ENTIRE life around to be at this appointment. 1 kid is missing soccer practice today for me to be here and my husband is missing a work meeting to take our other child to a doctor appointment for a sports physical in my place. Upon arrival to my 4 pm appointment the front desk person asks me for my medical card, since a medical exam is not covered by VSP. I have great medical insurance but apparently they're "out of network" So... at what point was this person going to ask me for my medical coverage to let me know I'm either in or out of network?! She knew at some point between yesterday and today that they didn't have my medical on file and that my eye coverage didn't include medical. But never once made a point to pick up the phone and call me?!!! Like I said I moved my whole life around today for this!!! My kids and my husband are also equally impacted. Now it's the end of the day, too late to be seen anywhere else! There was no empathy or accountability from this lady for her complete oversight. I'm to blame apparently... the doctor didn't even bother to come out to address the issue or follow up call me either. I suppose she's okay with patients repeatedly being treated poorly by her staff and losing 4 loyal, long time patients... disgusting... If you want to matter to your provider and be treated fairly and respected then this isn't the office for you. Utterly disappointed... ***GO READ THE NUMEROUS YELP / GOOGLE REVIEWS ABOUT RECEPTIONIST BEING AWFUL!! *** CLEARLY THE DOC DOESNT CARE HOW HER PATIENTS ARE TREATED BECAUSE THEY HAVE KEPT THIS LADY STAFFED AFTER NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT HER *** Update: Response to provider, I was barely 5 mins late! This is WILD that you're lying about my timing!! I also called ahead to inform the receptionist and she told me NO PROBLEM as long as I wasn't over 10 mins late. I also am a service provider and 5 mins is never an issue with seeing my clients because I am a human and understand that things come up, especially not a problem at the very end of my day. I also have compassion for my guests that traffic during rush hour in the valley is challenging right now with post storm closures and freeway closures. I'm convinced that the receptionist is the person responding at this point. And She was in no way professional! To be very clear, she had the remainder of Monday to check my insurance and ALL day Tuesday. Due diligence on her end to verify my coverage should have been a priority at some point in her day. She was rude when I checked in, there absolutely no question of her professionalism. ALL of your other one star reviews point to her being a problem, you're condoning bad behavior instead of eliminating the problem. It's clear you would rather argue and pass the blame to myself than to accept any accountability. Extremely unprofessional!!!!

My family has been going to Eye Concepts for over a decade, and they have always been fantastic. Dr Johnson is the best and the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly.

Doctor Johnson was incredibly friendly, informative, she walked my daughter through every step of the exam. She Is probably the best eye doctor i've ever encountered. I recommend her to anyone who wants to have a wonderful experience. She also fit her in a good pair of contacts that were best for her eyes.
