Carrot LASIK & Eye Center

We are a little late with the review, but life is hectic and full of joy with kids. The appointment was on February 12th, 2026. My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Carrot Eye and can't recommend them enough. From the moment we came in, the entire team was extremely professional, friendly, and attentive to every detail of my visit. We brought our three-year-old son and they went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. The front desk staff offered him stickers and coloring pages to keep him busy, which made the appointment a lot easier. Braedn even showed him what happens behind the scenes during an eye examination; she was genuinely amazing and patient with him. He also had the opportunity to look through the slit lamp with Dr. Blake Henson, which he thought was the coolest thing ever! What really jumped out was how, at the end of the appointment, Dr. Henson and Braedn played "the floor is lava" with him. It completely transformed his day and changed a normal visit into an unforgettable experience for our family. Carrot Eye is not only incredibly professional, with cutting-edge technology, fascinating devices, and excellent 1 on 1 care, but they are also really family-oriented and loving. We been coming here for a few years now, and each visit has been just great. Brendan and Ave are extremely excellent, and the entire staff regularly provides exceptional care. Thank you again to the entire Carrot Eye staff, Dr. Hammond, and Dr. Heroin, for your military service! Highly recommend!

Had my first eye exam in years, and Carrot was incredible!! Dr Henson was so kind and helpful, as well as Amber one of the assistants. They were also amazing helping my Mom with here LASIK surgery a year ago. Could not recommend them enough

Had multi focal lems surgery some time ago at Carrot Eye Center. 20/20 vision after a lifetime of 20/400 sight my whole life. No more glasses! The staff at Carrot preforms miracles every day! After being patients at the mass production eye centers in Mesa it is such a pleasure to have personal eye care in an office that knows you as a person and not just another number. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with smiles and professionalism. The environment is relaxing and comfortable. Dr. Emily Shortridge is very welcoming. She shook my hand and said "it's nice to meet you." She was thorough with the exam, asked questions and listened to me. Dr. Emily Shortridge will be able to help me with my concerns. The level of care and consideration was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My eye condition was treated expertly and even routine exams are comprehensive. The doctors spend time answering all questions and do so in a professional yet easy going manner. Technician Reid was especially helpful and personable. I highly recommend this practice!

Carrot LASIK & Eye Center is amazing! It is the only facility in the Greater Phoenix area (Mesa) that specializes in both LASIK and cataract procedures. They have state of the art equipment. They were able to assess my eyes without having to dilate my pupils! The doctors and staff are knowledgeable and personable. I had LASIK surgery performed in Seattle 19 years ago and my LASIK surgeon, Dr. McKillop, informed me in 2021 that I have early stages of peripheral cataracts. It has been 5 years and I definitely needed to find a specialist in the Phoenix area. I am so impressed by Carrot Eye Center that I can't imagine going anywhere else! Thank you all!

I highly recommend Carrott Eye Center. It was my first time there and I felt welcomed from the time I stepped in the door until the time I left. The customer care, new advanced testing, which required no dilation or discomfort was exceptional. They helped me pick out my glasses which were very cost friendly. Dont hesitate to make your appointment with them. It will be well worth your sight!

We were not satisfied with the treatment we were receiving at another eye clinic so, when my wife continued to have problems a couple of years ago, we decided to give Carrot LASIK & Eye Center a try. Dr. Hammond quickly resolved her problems so, when it was time for both of us to get routine eye exams, we set up appointments with Dr. Herion. I interacted with four people while we were there and came away very impressed with their professionalism and friendliness. The receptionist guided us through the usually painful process of pre-appointment paperwork completion and actually made it fun. The technician who ran the tests and performed the eye exam was great and accommodated my hearing loss by speaking clearly and not too fast. When all the tests were done Michael, the optical manager, guided us through the "getting new glasses" process. All I can say about him is that he has the patience of a saint. Even though there were a lot of other patients in the waiting room, we were not rushed. The office itself and the building, even the rest rooms are all top notch. The cost of the eye exam was only $50 and included very thorough hi-tech testing and a good explanation by Dr. Herion on what was found and what I could expect in the future. Finally, we were pleasantly surprised by the frame and lens pricing. We were expecting to spend much more than we did. Friendly, quality care at affordable prices in a great environment- what more could you ask for?
