Innovative EyeCare: Ortho-k & IPL Dry Eye Treatment

Dr Leah Johnson Has been absolutely life-changing in the treatments she has rendered for my extreme severe dry eyes. Over the past 12 years, my eyes have gotten dryer and dryer to the point that I had excruciating pain day and night. I have undergone two of her treatments that included infrared and Tixel Procedures, The Tixel Was just approved by the FDA in January 2025 and had a huge impact on opening up my oil glands After the first treatment, my dry eyes improve 50% and after completion of my second treatment, my dry eye symptoms are 80% reduced. I feel like a normal person. I no longer have severe pain and dryness in my eyes that nothing had helped with before.i am going for my 3 rd treatment in 2 days. I'm a registered nurse that has been slowly losing my vision and horrible eye pain from lack of oil in the glance to the eye. Dr. Johnson has various options that were including that have been so helpful to me. I feel like a new person and don't think about my eyes anymore and how painful they were. I would highly highly recommend Dr. Johnson. She is an angel that has changed my life completely. I'm now functional and feel so much better.

I've been seeing Dr. Johnson for the past few months, and she's been amazing in helping me improve my vision with Ortho-K lenses! I used to hate putting in my soft contacts every morning, and my glasses constantly gave me headaches. After doing some research on Ortho-K, I found Dr. Johnson through a Google search and I'm so glad I did. She was so kind and got me in within just a few days before I was leaving the country. I actually got to use my new Ortho-K lenses during my vacation, and it was incredible! I just put them in at night and didn't have to worry about my vision at all during the day. Dr. Johnson is super patient and really takes the time to explain how everything works from how to put the lenses in and take them out, to what to expect as your eyes adjust. She also checks in throughout the process and is always available if you have questions. Her clinic is super clean, and the staff are all really friendly. tl;dr IPL treatment for my stye was extremely effective and Dr. Leah and her staff are wonderful! Long story: I realized I had an upper eyelid stye developing one afternoon, having had 2 previous ones. I was very upset because they took literally months to fully resolve and were so painful and unsightly. I was googling and came across a post on reddit by someone with the same stye, and IPL was recommended. I'd never heard of it before but searched and found it offered by Innovative EyeCare. I called and they were able to get me in right away. The treatment itself is slightly painful since the stye itself is so tender, but it really wasn't that bad. And wow, the results were worth it! Instead of weeks of worsening inflammation and gruesome rupturing, the stye never got anywhere near as bad as previous ones and was mostly gone in 10 days. I was shocked and delighted! I cannot explain what a relief it was (and is) to know this treatment is available and effective. Dr. Leah was so kind and knowledgeable, she checked in with me repeatedly to make sure I was improving. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Johnson is so personable and thorough. She was recommended to us from our eye doctor for our son whose vision got significantly worse in a one year time frame. His vision is now stabilized and also has the perk of not needing his glasses anymore thanks to ortho-k. I've told everyone I know whose kids need glasses to make an appointment. Such a blessing!
