K2 Vision - Scottsdale

WOW, what an easy, amazing experience! Every single person we saw in the office was friendly, smiley, patient, and informative. They explained the procedure in detail ahead of time and I knew exactly what to expect. It was so quick and I was able to see that first day and on the second day, I felt completely normal and was even able to drive! I wish I had this done years and years ago!

The purpose of my writing is to express my heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Scottsdale K2 Vision facilities for the RLE procedures both my wife and I experienced. Over time, it has been my observation that people take for granted the exceptional medical care available to us in the United States. I admit that I too find myself guilty of such a lapse of gratefulness on more occasions than I think are acceptable. When we are fortunate enough to receive care of such an exceptional nature as to warrant a specific thank you to those who provided said care, a note of thanks and an appropriate review are warranted. To that end, please know that both my wife and I want to share that the exceptional care we received from the K2 team has not been taken for granted by us. The attention to detail, professionalism and genuine concern for our well being exhibited not only by Drs. Hamilton and Kopstein but by the entire support staff as well, we feel needs to be recognized. The caring, reassuring and patient centered approach executed by your Scottsdale staff made the entire experience not only less stressful, but pleasant in that each step in the process required by each of our visits was executed in a professional yet efficient and friendly manner. Now that our eyes are "brand new" and we no longer need to stop by for follow-up visits we find we miss our interaction with the staff at K2 a great deal. In the aggregate, the ability of the staff to consistently create a trusting and compassionate environment for patients truly sets them apart from others and, I would surmise, contributes greatly to the overall success of the care they provide. In closing, please know that the exceptional care the staff provided my wife and me has not been taken for granted and we will be forever grateful to have had the good fortune to have the K2 staff perform the procedures. I had Refractive Lens Exchange surgery with Light Adjustable lenses and can now see great! Marianne B. did all my light adjustments. It involved several trips to complete the entire process, so I spent some time with Marianne and got to know her a bit. She is the perfect person for this position! She is very friendly and knowledgeable. She is compassionate and very comfortable to be around. I really appreciated her wonderful support. I went from having 80% blocked vision in my left eye, 50% blocked in my right eye, both due to bad cataracts, to getting back to 20/20 vision, which is amazing! I had refractive lens exchange surgery with the light adjustable lens, which I highly recommend. This special lens gives you the most options for adjustments after surgery. I started wearing glasses to read and use the computer back in 2003. Now, I'm amazed that I don't need any glasses at all! This procedure is extraordinary and has given me back my life. I'm no longer stuck wearing glasses or suffering from my family's history of bad cataracts. (I remember my grandma having to get just 4 inches from our faces as kids to see us!) Dr. Kopstein was wonderful, and the whole surgery took only about 30 minutes. I couldn't believe how quick it was! Dr. Jessup, Abby, and the rest of the team really make you feel comfortable while they do your final vision adjustments. The bottom line: if you have cataracts, get this procedure done. It's well worth the investment in yourself and your vision.

They are the top and honest in the business, before I did my surgery, I went to many different places, and I felt they were the right fit for me, I was right, I could not ask for about a result, I'm very pleased, finally I have my vision back, they were very upfront with everything, it was everything that they said, but even better. I am incredibly pleased with the service, treatment, and follow up I receive from K2 vision. I do not say this lightly, but the improvement in my vision is miraculous. The surgical procedure was flawless and the follow up care absolutely perfect. As a physician myself, and knowing the difficulty sometimes in running a highly efficient and excellent clinic setting. I remained impress from the first to the last day, I got services. I no longer need to use glasses and everything looks brighter and sharper adds to my delight. I have been bragging to all my friends about this practice, and one of them is going tomorrow to have the same procedure.

Over all the doctors and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm disappointed in my results. When I began this journey I had concerns because my astigmatism was pretty bad and I have very thin corneas. Which I was told wouldn't be an issue. So begin a year long journey. I had multiple focal lens at first. Which gave me great closeup vision but distance vision wasn't so good. After 6months of trying to figure this out. I seen Dr. Kopstein he suggested to switch out lens for the light adjustable lens. Which doing the treatments and one eye at a time is was another 5 month journey. I have to still wear reader's now and my distance vision is good. The in-between vision isn't as good as I'd like it. I'm disappointed because the only benefit I got was to see at a distance without glasses. I'm back to where I was a year ago with the issues I wanted corrected. I guess reading the fine print that there is that chance and I'm one of those people in 400. So if I knew what I know now I wouldn't have spent the money or time on this procedure.

The entire staff is tremendous and I always feel like a valued patient when I'm there. My surgery went smooth and my follow up care was great. It is awesome to be able to see up close and at a distance again without classes and will never need them again. I highly recommend K2 Vision to anyone interested in Refractive Lens Exchange.
