We have been coming to Pearle Vision for many, many years. This was probably the most disappointing visit we've ever had. The gentleman helping us was not sure of himself, has a hard time explaining clearly to my husband about the frames. He wanted what the process was as well as the special deal they were running for a second pair of glasses. We were told multiple times because we asked for clarification multiple times, that the first pair would go through insurance as usual, and the second pair we would only pay for the frames and the lenses would be free. The gentleman was writing everything down on a Post-It note so we did not even get the receipt until after we left via email. Upon looking at my daughter's receipt, we realize that we did not get the second pair of lenses at no charge. I just went into the store, and I am now being told that because she had single vision that there was only a percentage off the lenses and the frames for the second pair. The staff took no responsibility in what they presented to us. Our trust level with this location at Sonora Village is very low at this point.

Absolutely do not use this location if you are a Senior who has had any sort of eye surgery. I went in for a routine eye exam to check my prescription. My annual eye exams are covered under my plan and I should have paid nothing out of pocket. I declined additional screens (as they like to upsell) since I had been so closely monitored by the doctors with my eye surgeries. The doctor did not perform any additional procedures or screens. They instead charged me for an office visit because I had eye surgeries in the past. No extra work on their behalf; just because I had eye surgery in the past.
I used a different chain doctor a year ago (VisionWorks) and was not charged for a medical visit when I went to have the same thing done.
Other than that, I found the doctor very pleasant; just she didn't do anything different than the VisionWorks doctor.
They would rather lose a customer for $35 then do the right thing. You will see this issue noted in other reviews.

Dr Pick at Pearle Vision is nothing other than amazing. I've been dealing with the healthcare industry a lot recently, and I can tell you that his level of professionalism is not that common anymore. He is caring, compassionate, detail oriented, and truly goes out of his way for his patients. I had a hemorrhage in my eye that was very scary and he took extra time to examine, evaluate and explain everything and then referred me to a specialist who he was familiar with. I can't say enough good things about him and his staff at this location. I highly recommend this doctor.
