Dr.Jorge and his exceptional crew make finding new glasses so fun. Dr. Jorge always takes the time to provide excellent honest medical care and I completely trust him with my site issues. My husband and daughter are also patients. I usually don't write reviews, but I just thought how happy I am with the glasses I bought at Agouro Family Eye Optometry. The team there was 100% friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I was amazed at how much time one of the experts took to help me find ,,my" frame. It was incredible, I told him what I thought I would like and we narrowed it down until I had the perfect frame. They even asked for my seated position in the car to get my progression lenses dialed in right. I couldn't be happier about my choice of frame and the optometrist.

From the start they were unprofessional. The woman who administered the eye pressure test was curt and incompetent. I ended up with pain in my eye for days. They sent my frames out to be be filled after I told them not to. Two people assured me they would not send them out and I could pick them up as I asked to. When I arrived to retrieve my frames, both been sent out and the store was attempting to bill me for them. Neither pair had been filled properly. One was clear glass without any magnification. The owner never responded to my emails or calls to him regarding the damage they did and their lack of professionalism. There were 3 or 4 people just standing around, including the optician who damaged my frames by having them sent out to be filled in contradiction to what I had requested and what was agreed on. No one there was professional.

One of the little screws on my reading glasses that holds my lens came out, causing the lens to almost fall out. I took my glasses to Agoura Family Optometry to see if they could repair them, as I didn't have the required tiny screwdriver handy at my office. Luckily the little screw was still in the frame. I walked into the office and explained the situation. Immediately one of the receptionists took the glasses & went back to effect repairs. After a few minutes she returned, handed me my glasses back and advised that the other lens was also loose; she repaired that also, as well as went over the frame to make sure all was well. They didn't ask whether I had purchased them there, nor did they ask for any payment- I was shocked and grateful at the same time! I have previously purchased glasses & contacts for my daughter when she was younger & still at home, but they didn't ask- they merely performed this service as a courtesy. I suspect that they are in the minority, but I can assure you that their good deed will not go untold, and with this kind of customer service I anticipate they will be here for many more years to come.. I've been going to Agoura Family Optometry for over 10 years and am always treated warmly. The doctor is wonderful, thorough, professional, explains everything in ways to easily understand and makes me feel comfortable and confident. Everyone there is very kind and personable as well as professional. They help pick out frames and, if you like, everyone will participate! It's really fun and I've always been nothing but happy with my contacts and glasses as well as my experience. Go there.

This business does not know or understanding the insurance they use on a daily basis. VSP premier benefits include medical checks for your eyes when medically necessary. Instead of knowing and understanding your vision insurance benefits, they charged me $100 for a simple eye infection visit, not knowing that my insurance covered it. Then had the nerve to dispute it via email with me. In the end, VSP had to call and educate them that standard visits for thing like eye infections are in fact covered. Take your business somewhere else, still waiting for my refund as they are naturally dragging their feet because customer satisfaction, what is that?
