Site for Sore Eyes - Auburn

After losing my all time favorite eye glasses that I saved up for and looking through dark rx sunglasses for 3 days in order to see...my eyes were sore and my attitude even worse. Stressed I wondered if this last minute decision to get glasses before the long drive would work out. Then my whole day changed, yes my day changed as I walked into Site for Sore Eyes in Auburn, Ca. A lady named Lynn must have sensed my state because it's like she took me under wing and just intuitively understood. She took her time listening to my story and what I loved about my lost glasses. Her energy was genuine as she was determined to find the perfect glasses for me. After my super easy eye exam, I came out and Lynn must have pulled 20 or more frames for me to try on! She was funny and helpful as I tried them on. I was starting to feel bad because I realized that I wanted my old glass style so I showed her what they looked like and without hesitation and a very cute giggle, she got it. She understood that and was able to actually find the make and model of my lost glasses. I can't tell you how happy I am that she was there to help me. You see Lynn is one of those problem solvers that sweeps in and without asking just gets it done and done right. Thank you Lynn at Site for Sore Eyes located in Auburn California. You made my day!! Well more like my week! Update: How did they do this? Picked up a pair of basic glasses with my rx in a few days after my visit on a Saturday afternoon and thanks to Amy not only was I able to see again with these good glasses, but she also repaired and adjusted those sunglasses RX that I have been wearing. Update: Another year another visit and it was just to fix my daughter's Ray-Ban sunglasses and they went out of their way to fix them and adjust them. They did not disappoint. I'm sticking with five stars.

they have the best selection of glasses frames ever, so many unique and cool choices i'll definitely be getting all my future frames here as well! the lady that helped me was very knowledgable, you can tell they truly do care about your QOL and vison experience. cannot recommend this place enough!

Absolute angel. I came in from out of town, my dad in the hospital and he had his eyeglasses broken. They got me right in fixed up no fuss no muss- I couldn't be more thankful.

This place has an amazing doctor, and sincerely caring and knowledgeable staff. They go out of their way to help people. I loved it here. They have made a customer for life with me. Thank you all so much.

I'm honestly perplexed by the high rating of this store. The phrase "kindness as a strategy" is the epitome of my experience. I called ahead of time and was told that most glasses could be made same-day or next day. I walked in with a brand new prescription and was walked through seemingly easy process with an overly friendly employee (I think the manager), only to be told after I paid that it would be 7-10 business days until they came in. A few days later, I went for a second opinion on my prescription and brought in the updated prescription. 5 business days later I got a call that my glasses were ready. I picked them up and they appeared stronger than my updated prescription and I was concerned the wrong lenses were inserted. I went back and they "examined" them and indicated that they were my updated prescription. The friendliness I received during my first visit was gone, and the whole experience was very transactional. But how would I actually know that my lenses were the right strength? I'm a first-time glasses wearer so I have no baseline. I happened to order a pair of glasses online after getting my new prescription through a different company because I couldn't wait another 7-10 business days to have access to my glasses and when they arrived, the lens strength was completely different (less strong) than the ones I got from Site for Sore Eyes and exactly what I was expecting. I feel bamboozled by Site for Sore Eyes - will not return!

We have gotten glasses here several times in the past. We went in today to see if we could get non-prescription lenses put in my husband's prescription Maui Jim's. The clerk went in the back room and they just happened to have a pair of lenses in the back. They put them in and said "no charge"! Now that's customer service!!

Hands down, best customer service in town! I'll never go anywhere else. They don't make you feel rushed. Their products are top notch, glasses are fitted well, they will even use your old favorite frames! Can't recommend these people enough!

First off, for the most part, the selection of glasses and staff are okay. My prescription from the optician was horrible as the computer glasses made everything blurry. The staff recommended I take the glasses home and try them in the morning. What? I had my 5 year old prescription glasses luckily. Everything was clear as crystal with those. I ended up getting glasses with that old prescription instead. $80 eye exam was worthless.
