East Valley Eye Center

I've been going to East Valley Eye Center for many years. This is an awesome eye clinic. The staff, doctors and facilities are top-notch and I always feel well taken care of when I come to the office. I highly recommend for families with young children. Over the years, I've had a few eye emergencies and they always work me into the schedule that same day. The best!!!!

Best eye doctors on the planet. I've been going to Dr. Farid and Kourosh Eghbali for almost 30 years. They even have a retinal specialist Dr. Amini. Official eye doctors for the L.A. Dodgers.

My 15 yr old son had a sudden loss of vision after being struck by a stream from a water gun. (One of those high-powered pump-up variety: beware!) On a Sunday during a holiday weekend! The only ones to call us back was East Valley Eye Center! We called every place that claimed a 24 hr response and only East Valley called us back. Not only that: but Dr Eghbali himself called us and he was amazing. We are so very grateful. Over the phone he was calm, compassionate, and thorough in questioning our son on his symptoms, and in explaining to us what to expect. He saved us from spending the rest of the weekend just waiting in an emergency room only to be sent home. Also: his diagnosis was exactly right. :-) We couldn't recommend him and his practice any more highly. Thank you.

Dr Eghbali is an excellent doctor. After having the IPL treatments has improved my quality of life tremendously and I am so grateful for his expertise in this process.

Words can not express my sad and disheartening experience at this eye center. To be honest, I wouldn't even be writing this review if I had not received a post card from this office yesterday clearly mis-stating there true concern which truly is for money/reimbursement and definitely not "Caring for your eyes" as told to me by Dr. Eghbali. My teen son suffers from a condition called "Keratoconus" which I never knew about till last year. When I took him into this office Dr. Eghbali went back and forward with me in front of my son about how my insurance reimbursement rate to treat my son's eye condition was to low and not worth his time. He was clear that he had not renegotiated his contract with the insurance carrier and told me at that time he would and once it was settle his office would reach out to me. That never happened. I begged Dr. Eghbali to please at least give my son glasses to help him see and he literally refused stating it would not help him. I swear to God, this is my experience. I left the office feeling horrible and I believe in every way Dr. Eghbali violated his oath as a Doctor to care for the ill. My son can not see out of one eye and after he watched the way I was treated at this office he begged me not to reach out to Dr. Eghbali again. Wish I honored. But when I go this post card in the mail stating "caring for your eyes is our main concern" I just couldn't hold back on telling the truth about this eye center and the greed that operates here and the lack of care for your eyes. No one from there office ever followed up with me even though Dr. Eghbali promised me he would help my son, even if I had to pay out of pocket. No one here cared enough about a teenage boy with a rare condition. East Valley Eye Center and Dr. Eghbali, you are a disgrace to this community in my pinion and you have clearly violated your oath to care for the sick and in need. Why take an Oath to care for the sick if you really only care about he reimbursement? UPDATE: In response to Dr. Eghbali's response to My Review. Dr. Eghbali, your oath is to care for your patients. You clearly did not do that because you did not kept your contracts updated. The sad greediness on your part was, even though you got on the phone with my insurance, after having me wait over an 1 1/2 hours and they told you treating Keratinous "is" a covered benefit, you looked at me and my son and said "I can't except that rate, its too low!" You then told me you'd renegotiate the contract and contact me, you never did. Your Response is a simple untruth, I was there and you had an opportunity to help my son and you refused. So don't try to place the blame on me stating "We are limited by complying with the insurances we take" "These insurance circumstances have no bearing on taking an oath." "I would be delighted to discuss the situation (medical condition, optical correction, as well as insurance coverage) on a private basis should you decide to call me directly and or come to the office." BUT YOU DID DISCUSS THE SITUATION WITH ME PRIVATELY ABOUT HIS CONDITION AND HOW YOU'D TREAT HIM AND YOU KNEW IT WAS A COVERED BENEFIT. DON'T MAKE IT SEEM AS THOUGH WE DID NOT HAVE AN HOUR LONG DISCUSSION. "I assist many patients with the same condition as they get referred to me by other eye doctors." I WAS REFERRED TO YOU BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY, THEY SENT ME THERE AND YOU VERIFIED THAT WITH THEM. "However, I can only assist if I hear back from the patient. YOU ARE WORNG AND DISHONEST SAYING YOU DIDN'T HEAR BACK FROM ME. YOU DID AND YOU SAID YOU WOULD GET BACK TO ME ONCE YOU RENEGOTIATED YOUR REIMBURSEMENT RATE. "If finances are the issue, I have resources that might be of assistance to you. I look forward to assist you and your son for a better experience."I HAVE INSURANCE, INSURANCE THAT YOU ACCEPT WHICH IS WHY MY INSURANCE COMPANY SENT ME THERE. HIS CONDITION IS ALSO A COVERED PROCEDURE AT YOUR OFFICE WHICH YOU REFUSED, I MEAN COMPLETELY REFUSED BECAUSE THE REIMBURSEMENT RATE WAS TOO LOW. YOU HAD NO DESIRE TO HELP MY SON IF YOU COULDN'T GET PAID ENOUGH.

I have been Dr. Farid Eghbali's patient for over 25 years and am still amazed from time to time by his knowledge, attentiveness and caring. He is my whole family's eye doctor and we have never been disappointed. He has been able to diagnose an eye condition for my mom that specialists could not figure out, an eye condition for a family friend that saved her sight and a couple of issues with my eyes that in the long run will save my eyesight and contribute to the overall health of my eyes. I am grateful for Dr. Eghbali and his staff for being such professionals and taking such great care of us. I am a patient for life and would recommend this amazing doctor and his staff!!!

My vision is fully restored after the cataract surgery. Thank you Dr. Kourosh Eghbali, Dr. Farid Eghbali, Linda, and Staff - you are all amazing! I would highly recommend East Valley Eye Center to anyone struggling with cataracts.

For years I've been struggling with rosacea and dry eyes but nothing really helped. Last year my ophthalmologist Dr. Farid Eghbali started providing IPL treatment for dry eyes which also helps with rosacea. After finishing the treatments my eyes were feeling so comfortable that I wasn't thinking about my eyes at all. I also noticed that the texture of my skin improved and redness was mostly gone. I'm very happy with the results. The treatments themselves did not cause discomfort. The environment was very pleasant and relaxing. Dr. Farid Eghbali has been my and my husband's eye doctor for a long time. Now I get an additional benefit with my eyes and face. I can't thank Dr. Eghbali enough. Izabela Kline
