Avalon Optometry

I went to the Avalon Optometrist in the Carson location to get my new glasses. And I had the great customer service. The optometrist was professional, kind & caring and they had excellent staff. I had health insurance therefore my eye glasses exam glasses & frames, all covered by insurance. Most of the eyeglass frames are covered by insurance. If you want to get a designer's eyeglass frame, you may have to pay extra money. If you need to get new glasses or contact lenses, I would like to recommend the Avalon Optometrist.

The doctors are always nice and helpful. They are very accommodating and kind to their patients. I usually have a good experience here, however the receptionist who attended the front seemed dismissive in her tone. She appeared to know Spanish and spoke Spanish to another family but choose to not speak it to us even though we were communicating in Spanish when we arrived. It felt a little unwelcoming especially after seeing her communicate to another family in fluent Spanish. The other receptionist are usually very nice so it threw me off. Other then that it's a very good place to go...

I have been a patient at Avalon Optometry for over five years and was previously treated by two optometrists at this same office for a recurring, seasonal inflammatory condition affecting my left eye. During my most recent visit, I explained my documented history, including prior treatment at this practice and recent pain and flare-ups. Although my records were reviewed, no treatment, alternative option, referral, or follow-up plan was offered, and my only insurance-covered annual visit was consumed. I understand providers may exercise clinical judgment, but I was disappointed by the lack of continuity of care and the absence of any management plan for a documented, recurring condition. I hope the practice reviews this to improve patient communication and continuity going forward.

Outstanding Eye Care Experience! I had an exceptional experience with this eye doctor! From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. The doctor was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough in the exam, and took the time to explain everything clearly. You can tell they truly care about their patients' vision and overall eye health. What stood out the most was the level of personalized attention and the doctor's ability to answer every question with patience and expertise. The service was efficient, and I never felt rushed. My 3 kids and I love Avalon Optometry! Everyone is so friendly and I appreciate that they are on top of everything always, even when I'm not. The Drs are competent and patient and the front desk staff are all super nice. We seen 4 of the Drs and all 4 were knowledgeable and helped solve many of the problems we've had.
