If I could give zero stars, I would. The doctor was excellent and the only redeeming part of this practice. However, the office staff was unhelpful and unprofessional from the start. I was repeatedly told how "great" my insurance was, but the support ended there.
During the frame selection process, the staff was disengaged, and I was left to figure things out myself. When the glasses arrived, I was initially relieved--but after a few days of discomfort, the nose pads broke. I tried to resolve it, but the office manager (based in Vista) blamed me for not returning sooner and refused to help unless I came to her location. She even threatened restocking fees. Despite promising a follow-up, months later, I've heard nothing.
If you just need an eye exam, the doctor is great--but I wouldn't trust the office staff with anything beyond that. Consumer complaints filed- and I will be following up with my insurance to make sure they do not pay this practice.
I was trying to schedule an appointment for an eldery person, the customer service wasn't helpful, only saying they are fully booked always.
As a newly card-carrying member of AARP, I figured I should start wearing my glasses. The problem with that, though, is that the place I got them from gave me the wrong prescription, so it's pointless.
So, even though I WANT to be a good citizen and upstanding member of the Fallbrook community, I've been thwarted by useless glasses. How can one say that they care about their community and then drive around that community with poor eyesight? It's a hazard, and I'll be the first to admit it.
So! When AARP invited me to become a certified adult, sealing the deal with an, as yet undelivered, trunk-space organizer, I figured I should act the part, and go get my prescription fixed, even if only to protect my fellow Fallbrookians out on the roads and sidewalks in and around town.
Where was I going with all this? Oh yeah, glasses.
I said to myself, "Self, let's go do something about this reckless endangerment you keep submitting your friends and neighbors to, and get your glasses fixed."
So I drove to Vista Vision Optometry 's Fallbrook location, where I was met by Kendall, one of the optometrists there.
Kendall was very understanding and sympathetic to my (righteous) cause, and will be helping me to right my wicked ways.
So, bear witness, all ye wretched and righteous alike!
Go get your prescriptions fixed here. Your family, friends, and community will be able to sleep soundly, knowing that you did The Right Thing.
Also, Kendall fixed my sunglasses, which is awesome. They'd been held together with a keyring I found in my junk drawer, for the last 8 months.
Dr. Kendall is great! He is very professional and caring. He is great with children. I love that they can schedule appointments online and get text and email reminders.
Dr Bruce George is the best.
Counter staff are awesome.
He went out of his way to make my prescription better. I love it.
Very compassionate Dr. Highly recommended.
always friendly to me and doc helped me out big time when i had uveitis that was hard to detect. they also put in my lenses to my favorite frames! ^_^
Eye dr was ok but I bought some expensive frames from them (after they convinced me to buy there) and 3 months later they broke and there is nothing they can do because I don't have the piece that broke. This was my first time going there and will not be returning since they cannot guarantee their frames. Not I'm without glasses and have to use old ones and now buy another new pair
My daughter, mom and I have been going to this Optometrist office for 3 years, we love the service, the choices of frames and the professional attention we always get from all staff!
