Dr. Shawn L. Palmer, MD

Call his office after received an appointment remind card. Called them right away and was told to call back next month. After contacted his office twice in two different month and got an appointment. Two days later found out the appointment lady assigned me to another doctor instead of Palmer. Called his office and asked the appointment lady to reassigned me back to Palmer. She told me I have to call back next month for a new appointment. Asked to spoke to her manager and told her I'd like to tell dr Palmer what's going on with the appointment person. Instead of accommodating me for a new appointment she told me I harassed her staff and refuse to see me. Few days later they sent me a letter and told me the find both eyes doctor. Think twice anyone want go see this doctor. They don't have any respect to there patient. It's shame for them.

Dr. Palmer did both my cataract surgeries in January. During all the tests before he FAILED to tell me I had a macular problem and no matter how much extra money I paid him my vision was not going to be good! As a matter of fact it would be worse and I would need an additional surgery! He was more focused on money than the patient! It wasn't until after both surgeries and I was tested by Dr. Minhas was I told I had a Retina problem. He totally ignored it. Very unethical as a Physician. Find someone else.

Dr. Palmer is extremely thorough, kind and gentle. I am grateful to his exemplary staff, especially Betty, the discharge receptionist/ bookkeeper and Claudia, his experienced, reassuring technician. Both women are compassionate, thoughtful and incredibly caring. I am grateful to be a patient here.

I am not usually one to leave a negative review especially for a local business but i feel like i should caution anyone that has an appointment in this office. I had an appointment today at 940am but did not see Dr. Kira until 1110am. This is almost 90 minutes behind schedule.

I moved to Rancho Murieta from San Jose. Dr. Palmer was recommended to me by a neighbor who also happened to be a retired ER nurse. I did a check. Dr. Palmer is highly qualified & I have been very happy with his F2F talks. The office does run late sometimes & I've had to wait. But do you want to be rushed through like cattle, or have your questions thoughtfully answered?

I enjoyed this Practice for several years. I've since moved, and have tried unsuccessfully to have my Medical Records mailed to me in another state. I've contacted this office 4 times now over the past 4 1/2 weeks to get my records mailed. Today I was told they were mailed weeks ago. They were never received here, and the Admin. person I spoke with today hung up on me before I could ask to have them emailed. Extremely poor service after I left this Practice.

Dr Palmer was always great, did both eyes cataracts, Staff and phone service terrible. Ileana, Front desk has a attitude problem. The information on answering service does not match information give at front desk, then Ileana wants to argue about it.

Purely the best Opthalmologist I've ever needed. When you need one, make it the best. Dr. Palmer had an amazing chairside manner, excellent knowledge and advice, and a generous nature, which is very rare. What a blessing to Folsom! ... And have you seen all his diplomas and recognitions?! Amazing doctor... !!! You can trust him!
