Already not liking the new owner and their customer service, or should I say lack of customer service. Can't talk to anyone in the Folsom office. Before the new owners, I would call and always get one of the fabulous gals at the front desk.
Now, after listening to the very long script when you call, if you get a live person, they're not in the Folsom office and can't help you.
My time is valuable and listening to the very long script shows a lack of respect for clients time.
This doesn't bode well for instilling confidence in Dr. Taylor's clients.
Dr. Taylor and her team are the BEST! I was referred to Dr. Taylor by my neurologist for a rare issue. When I went to Dr. Taylor she was not only listened and was thorough, but she was invested in helping me find a solution, referring me to UC Davis. Most doctors when presented with my strange symptoms would most likely have "blown me off", but with her commitment to care, we were finally able to find the answer. Then, when, a separate condition arose with my eyes (quick growing cataracts) she did a surgery and basically saved not only my vision by my business as well since I do computer graphics, programming and design. The surgery was fast, immediately effective and I cannot say enough good about not only Dr. Taylor, but her entire staff who are professional and caring. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but that is because patients come in for emergencies. But in those cases, even the wait is worth it because the result is high-quality care, provided in a clean, professional and thoughtful office. My neurologist had said she was a great doctor and I agree!
The actual woman that did all the preop eye testing was very nice. The testing was over an hr.,very thorough. Then the problems started. I was there to see the surgeon for my exam for the cataract surgery. They took two hrs. My appt.was 2:30, I didn't get out of there until they were closing. Hours of waiting. The surgeon came in all smiles, but since they were about to close,he rushed through that appt. He never said I'm sorry that it's almost 5:00, and your appt.was two. I have sever, terminal disease,a transplant in October, the first part was done two years earlier. I told the surgeon I had a very rare disease, have three hour weekly infusions for the last 12yrs.,donor plasma and immunoglobulins. He skipped that part and was so rushed,he didn't even ask what it was.
Sorry, wanted to make sure I'd be safe. A seven hour surgery 9 months ago, a month in the hospital not doing well from the surgery, including multiple blood transfusions, with also multiple potentially deadly issues. So the surgeon rushed out of the room, didn't answer the questions I had, because when I would ask, he would become very short, irritated, and acted like I was dumb.
When he rushed out of the room, even forgetting to same,"I'm sorry 0i was so late, it was one of those day's", honestly,I would have gotten it,things happen. So when he ran out, I asked his scribe,or M.A.,since she too, never said hello, time to go.
I asked her if he would be prescribed antibiotics, she said no,they put them in your eyes. I said,no, for my disease, I don't heal,I have a rare disease. This woman actually said, did you tell him?? Unbelievable,I said, you didn't hear me, I tried to.He was in such a rush, something as important as that, you're a surgeon, and will be operating on a person you had selective hearing with.
Since I had zero idea they would be not only be dilating my eyes, they also numbed it with some particular medication which became so painful I had to drive in the slow lane home, with a pounding migraine, and eyes that were swollen shut. If I had known this I would have gotten a ride. They put me in a dangerous spot.
So, the heads up as the place was closing, the M.A. or whoever he was sai,"I tell him you have a disease" Guesss I better check.
Was referred by Schermer Eye Associates. I will never, never, go back there. The staff are the absolute rudest, condinsending people, if you could call them that, after surgery NEVER,NEVER,NEVER, would I step in that place. They are on Hurley Ave, Sacrameno, they did the referral.
They will financially rip you off with their billing, scream at you when I even had my insurance on the call. She woman was so rude at the office, mean, then said,I'm hanging up on youu. My insurance said she was so rude. Think you have the list. Find somewhere else to go.
