Crystal View Optometry

Dr. McKnight and her team are kind, welcoming, and friendly. They run a clean, modern, and inviting office with the latest optometry technology, including a VR headset and a puff-free pressure tester. Probably the quickest and most comfortable eye exam I've had. I also appreciated the help I had in picking frames, even though my insurance pressured me to purchase elsewhere. If your insurance covers it, I encourage you to purchase in-office so you get their expert measurements. Happy to have found my family's local eye doctor and thankful to McKnight and her team.

Crystal View Optometry I was really hoping to find a good local optometrist after our long time optometrist in Roseville, retired. We checked local reviews like most people and decided to try Crystal View Optometry, since they seemed to have good "recent reviews." Apparently the previous owner was horrendous. Unfortunately our experience was not the best experience with this office. The first three attempts at scheduling appointments were all messed up because previous appointments had been scheduled on the same dates as ours so ours kept having to be moved. The first time was no big deal, these things happen. The second time was annoying and the third to was just plain inept. This meant that for every reschedule our actual appointment kept getting pushed weeks and weeks until three months later we finally got in. Once we were in the office everything seemed good. The office was nice and comfortable enough and the equipment was modern and new which was nice. The actual eye exams and so forth went fine as well. Dr. McKnight is very nice and really does an excellent job as an optometrist. Unfortunately the same can't be said for her two other employees up front. This was this our first visit here after months of reschedules and as we stood there looking for some frames that weren't over $300 the two employees proceeded to talk crap about other clients right I front of us with zero regard for anyone other than themselves. It was a stark contrast to our experience with Dr. McKnight, and It was extremely unprofessional and very immature. The selection of frames is pretty limited there as well, so finding frames that weren't $300 or more and was difficult. Eventually we finally settled on some frames that were OK. Then it was a matter of going through our insurance which by now, we know exactly what's covered and what's not but we still had to argue over different fees and so forth until the person helping us actually looked at our coverage and saw that surprise! We we correct. Finally we are done and after a very long and tedious journey to get to where we are, one of the employees mentions AFTER WE'VE ALREADY PAID! That there are more options for frames in the many drawers below the displayed frames! We were absolutely furious at this point but frankly just wanted to leave and be done with it all at that point. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. The company they use for actually making the glasses apparently got our two perscriptions switched, so my wife had her glasses with my perscription and mine hers. Then, after my wife's show up somehow mine get lost. They Reordered mine and then didn't bother tell me that they've arrived for over two weeks. And just a few months later the entire half of nose piece on my glasses broke off. I ended up having to order a pair of glasses with my perscription online. They're not the greatest but at least they work. All in all, even if Dr. McKnight is a good optometrist, her employees need to retrain and maybe even grow up a bit. Getting glasses isn't supposed to be this hard.

Dianna Holcomb McKnight is the best eye doctor I have ever been too. I have got to her for 2 years now and the glasses are the clearest I have every had. I got my new glasses this morning and I can read the smallest letters which I have never done before. Many may remember her as Dianna Holcomb. But she moved to Elk Grove many years ago but is back.

Absolutely awesome experience. Finally, I got the perfect prescriptions--thanks to a kind and knowledgeable staff with professional experience. I highly recommend them.

Don't expect to use your insurance here without nastiness and additional fees that aren't discussed or authorized beforehand. Apparently a contacts exam doesn't cover the part where you put the new contacts in your own eyes... and that is an additional $80. And don't even try to just get your prescription without buying contacts/glasses from them on the spot. Their attitudes change very fast if they don't get to make that extra profit.

Sabina is a very thoughtful, helpful, and professional optician who successfully guided me in picking out beautiful frames and choosing the best options for my new progressive lenses. I was a little overwhelmed during my first visit but she didn't rush me and kindly assisted me in placing my order when I was ready to decide. Eye to Eye has an impressive selection of frames and a gracious staff for all of your vision needs.

The best experience I've had in awhile. The women were so warm and took such great care of me. The exam was extremely thorough and their questions were specific and knowledge backed. They helped me pick out a great frame and a lens to relieve the strain on my eyes. We all laughed and joked the whole time. It was an extremely relaxing and refreshing experience. HIGHLY recommend.

He got everything wrong even suggesting I was nearly ready for bifocals when I see close up just fine. The prescription he gave me was too strong, confirmed by the lovely optometrist at Costco in Roseville last week. He wanted to order my lenses at a cost of more than $500, no frames just lenses. If you have to wait for an appointment it should be worth it. Don't waste your time/money here.
