Sierra View Medical Eye Inc

My son has been a patient at Sierra View for several years now. This year when it came time for his annual exam (that we had scheduled a year prior) I received a call stating that a new referral was needed, and that our appointment could not be rescheduled until the referral was received. We get a new referral sent, and then when I call to check on the status I am told that the referral was received, but we still can't schedule because there are at least 100 people ahead of him. So even though he is an established patient that they already made an appointment for, which they canceled the day of, and told us to get rescheduled once a new referral was sent they did not honor what they said, and he is apparently starting at the bottom of their waitlist as a result of their poor scheduling and communication skills. All the while he has been experiencing eye pain, and having difficulty focusing in class as a result of this. I understand that policies (especially with insurance) change, but the lack of communication between this facility and it's patients is absolutely astounding. Not to mention, the receptionist I spoke with was extremely rude. Prior to this, we have loved our care here so it's really sad to see they no longer put patients needs first, honor what they say, or communicate when things change. With all that said, any recommendations for other pediatric optometrists in the area would be greatly appreciated.

I had a great experience. I was scheduled for two appointments, back-to-back. The first one was for the eye exam. The second appointment was to get fitted for new frames. It was my first eye exam ever. Everything went smoothly. Expeditiously, even. I was promptly greeted by the friendly receptionist Jessica, and checked in. Everyone was kind and professional. I was able to try on an array of glasses to find the perfect fit for my face and taste. I will be getting a call in about six weeks, when my new frames come in.

Had a horrible experience here. No meaningful internal communication. Rookie doctor and assistant did a poor intake and did not note my file that I have been a heart patient for ten years, had advanced copd and was a survivor of a massive pulmonary embolism. Totally missed all that and the rookie tech did not note my history of Lasik surgery. The measurements he had taken were useless to implant the proper lens. You have been warned

I was a little nervous after reading the other reviews, but I had a great experience. Everyone from the phone to the front desk to the doctor was friendly. Dr Thomas seemed very knowledgeable, kind, and patient.

I am absolutely amazed how much my vision has improved: I now see details I haven't seen in years; such a tremendous difference in my daily life. As a bibliophile, having great vision without the need for glasses, is a dream come true. Living in the forest, my trees are in sharper focus then I can recall. Everything Just Looks Better! Dr. Hagele's clarity when explaining the procedure for cataract surgery was of great help. He is a skilled surgeon, very precise, and the outcome of this is more than I could have hoped for. He also is very kind and caring. I never doubted his decisions. He had my trust. I am eternally grateful. The surgical team was exceptional...in synchrony. No wasted time. So good at their jobs. It was amazing. A shout out to Dr. Porter for making my time very comfortable during surgery. THANKS TO ALL!!!

I have had excellent, professional experiences with three of the doctors in this practice and related staff. Over the last year I had two eye surgeries with Dr. Hagele and appreciated his gentle kindness; and, they were successful! Last week I took a pair of expensive sunglasses in for possible repair, as the arms had broken off. I had purchased them 10 years ago and was aware that the warranty is only two years, but hoped that a relatively affordable repair was possible. While I waited, Sonya called the sunglass company who said they would send the two new arms for free and then Sonya told me they would do the repair for free. Also there was a time maybe six years ago when I got a tiny piece of metal in my eye and they got me right into the office and took care of it. The people in this practice are kind and helpful and go the extra distance!

I cannot say how much we appreciated our appointment through Melina their Ophthalmic Technician. Boy she swooped in and really listened to our unique issue and used superior problem solving skills. We were in and out of the appointment swift and completely satisfied with the professionalism at Sierra View Medical Eye Clinic Inc. Thanks again Melina!!

Always a friendly staff. Wonderful Doctors. There is a good selections of glasses in the shop.
