Advanced Eye Care

At my initial appointment, the optometrist was very kind, asked about my eye health history, and listened to my concerns about my astigmatism. The girls out front took their time to help me pick out my frames and discussed insurance costs with me before my decision. The receptionists were also very kind and helpful. I just picked up my frames and they were the right fit and the right clarity. Having an appointment for frame pick up is definitely new. However, I've waited 30 minutes to an hour to pick up frames at another popular clinic in town. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Unless you have expensive insurance, wouldn't recommend. Frames I got in March 2023 are now causing an allergic reaction on my nose and sides of my face from the exposed copper; they said I can't get a new pair until March 2025 and I could pay for another frame. My question is why are you selling frames with this issue in the first place?? Not going here again

Very quick and excellent experience overall. I was in a bit of a bind as I am a professional driver and lost my glasses which I am required to have. As a walk in they fit me into the schedule and got my pre tests done 30 min before my appointment time and I was out of there in about an hour able to see with my current prescription and a pair of contacts! Thank you Dr. Aguilar! The quick professionalism was and still is very much appreciated! A couple days later I am a lot more comfortable with the contacts routine... it's not taking so long as it did the day I was there. The waiting area is very nice and there are many comfortable chairs and sofas to be at ease. The building looks rather new and it was very clean! I been getting seen by optometrists my whole life and the Dr.s easy going mannner and quick correction to 20/20 was amazing and I highly recommend them.

Called the office to have my wife be seen as she had gotten something in her eye and her regular dr was not in his office. They had us come to the office within 15 minutes and were able to fit us in. Dr Aguilar was very quick in identifying the problem and explained everything in a very articulate manner. Dr and staff very professional. We will be changing our eye care needs over to Dr. Aguilar.

Today was my first time visiting Advanced Eye Care in Imperial Ca. I had a very good experience. The place was beautiful and relaxing. I went in and out in less than an hour. No long waiting time. All staff was very polite and the dr was very knowledgeable. He was confident and quickly decided I dont even need glasses anymore except to see far away distances at night when driving. I had gone to the eye dr at Imperial Valley Mall last year and they gave me the wrong eye prescription three times in a row. They kept telling me I needed progressive prescription due to aging eye sight which was 100% inaccurate. I see perfectly well especially near sighted and no longer need glasses (as I did throughout my childhood). They had missed that. I was overjoyed to receive opposite and such good news. I had recently been praying God heals my eyes and I dont need glasses anymore to read. This Dr nailed it. I was happy to see he understood my true needs and didnt misdiagnosed me. I plan to return every year now for my eye exams as needed. I recommend this place to everyone.

Office was impeccable, technology was advance. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Appointment was scheduled in a timely manner. Order was received sooner than expected. Definitely an A+.

So unprofessional, unreliable and not thorough. My 5 year old had an eye that was crossing and the "doctor" said it was because she was tired and said she only had a .25 prescription and didn't need glasses full time (only for academics), so we bought glasses with the prescription they gave us after the $80 exam fee (THEY did NOT Dilate her eyes). Then I took her to Rady Children's eye Doctor to confirm because I didn't think they did a good job since my daughter was still having trouble seeing/eye crossing with the new glasses. Rady Childrens in SanDiego DID dilate her eyes and she needs glasses FULL time with a 4.25 prescription. HOW DID THEY MISS THAT?! They don't dilate patients eyes which is a necessity. I contacted this "doctor" at AdvancedEyeCare & he said he's human and can make mistakes. He did not apologize and refused to refund the $80 exam fee and said they would give a new exam with 20% off glasses. I had already purchased glasses with the wrong prescription -_- they ended up giving free lenses, NO frames, NO refund. As a professional who has a business, you have to pay for the mistakes you make that can impact people for the rest of their lives, especially when it comes to a child's development and growth. Yet he did not care and also allows his employees to have their bras, chest and back tattoos hang out. Very unprofessional and scams his patients by NOT dilating eyes. Even if they have high tech machines, if your eyes are not dilated, you can NOT get an accurate prescription for your eyes and can mess up your eyes in the long run.

Dr Aguilar and his staff are exceptionally professional and friendly, it's my 1st time as a patient the atmosphere is comfortable I fell in love with the building architect structure I will recommend to family and friends.
