Optimum Medical Group La Canada Dr. Nare Stepanyan, Dr. Keller Wortham

This review has nothing to do with the Dr but the way the office is ran. I called almost 2 weeks ago and asked for a new patient appt for both my husband and myself. Without giving us what her schedule looks like, they said we had to fill out a form and send it back with our state IDs and insurance car. Weird but ok. I sent it back same day, called a couple days later and asked for an ETA. The girl who answered said they were going to send it to another dept because it got sent to the wrong location. I asked how long it would take and an ETA on the soonest appointment. She said she couldn't look at the schedule but they try to book within the month (LOL!) They would call me to schedule when they finished creating my chart. I received an email, not a call on Thursday around 4:30pm. Because of the busy life that I also have (because life doesn't go based off this office's times) I had to wait to call on Monday. And you'd never believe it, the same office who told me they try to book within the same month said the soonest available is MID APRIL! WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME THAT BEFORE MAKING ME SEND YOU MY GOVERNMENT ID AND INSURANCE CARDS?! What a sus office and clearly taking advantage of the fact there's few female PCP in the area. And when I asked this, instead of apologizing, Rebecca just argued instead. Your office isn't the next Hermes bag, no need to have so many unnecessary steps in order to be seen the next quarter of the year when we're literally 2 weeks into 2026! This entire experience was the biggest red flag when all I wanted was to feel safe with a female provider. No thanks.

Dr Stepanyan and her staff are outstanding. She has been my father's primary care concierge physician for the last several years. She is thorough, seeks to understand my dad's concerns and needs and provides excellent and compassionate care and services. Her staff are kind and quick to return calls and help relay messages between the doctor and my dad.

Dr Wortham in a fantastic doctor. He's incredibly accessible and responds to my questions promptly and thoroughly. I got appendicitis and had to have an appendectomy, and Dr Wortham came and checked on me to make sure I was doing well. I can't recommend him enough.

Dr. Nare Stepanyan had the utmost care, respect, listening, and understanding of my very serious n chronic health issues. She's very direct and I like that. I appreciate her time and genuine desire to help. Her staff is great also!

I met with Dr. Wortham for my annual physical today. He was so thorough and answered all of my questions. It was a pleasure working with such a knowledgeable and thoughtful doctor after years of going to an HMO. I am so pleased I made this change.

Dr. Wortham and staff are wonderful! Very minimal wait time and delightful staff upon arrival. Dr. Wortham is very thorough, personable and takes his time to ask and answer questions. So grateful to be his patient.

Both Dr. Keller Wortham and Dr. Nare Stepanyan are exceptional. Plain and simple, they are knowledgeable, kind, and caring physicians. Their very nice office is blessed with a staff that cannot be beat anywhere. The entire organization makes you feel well cared for. Highest possible rating!

Dr. Nare is empathetic to my concerns. She's thorough and explains the situation. The front desk ladies are always nice and accommodating.
