LOMA LINDA EYE INSTITUTE
Doctor Chalam's Clinic:2900
REVIEW
I am Haroon Massey, a patient of Doctor Chalam. I take this opportunity to commend him for his spirit of services to fellow human beings representing "Jesus' Ministry of Healing" at the Loma Linda Eye Institute.
I want to state that Laura, Z.
( my initial Care Contact at Doctor Chalam's Clinic 2900) is a very Conscientious: caring, compassionate and courteous employee representing the Mission of Loma Linda
"To Make Man Whole".
I also thank and appreciate each member of the Team at The Clinic 2900 for their diligent and honest efforts in rendering services to the individuals that come to 2900 seeking specialized care related to their eyesight.
I recently had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life while trying to schedule my surgery at this facility. The scheduling staff, specifically ALEXIS, repeatedly failed to return my calls, despite my attempts to reach her between 6 to 8 times over the course of a week. Not once did she return my call.
This is my second surgery with Dr. Hawey, and unfortunately, the experience has been just as frustrating as the first. I'm unsure whether Alexis is simply overwhelmed or deliberately ignoring calls, but either way, the lack of communication is unacceptable. I've been waiting three weeks for a pre-surgery packet that I need to take to my cardiologist. Without it, I haven't been able to schedule the required clearance appointment, and my surgery date is fast approaching.
During my first surgery, I was told to fax in my cardiology clearance and all other pre-surgery documents. I did these two weeks in advance, and again tried contacting Alexis for two weeks straight to confirm receipt, only to be met with complete silence. I finally received a call from hospital customer service the night before my surgery, only to find out they never received my documents and were considering canceling the procedure. Fortunately, I still had hard copies and had to urgently fax them to a customer service representative's personal email around 7 PM to avoid cancellation.
I waited nearly a year for this surgery, and it was almost derailed both times due to poor communication and lack of follow-through from the scheduling department. I've encountered nothing but incompetence and a complete lack of regard for patients from this staff member. When I needed information, I couldn't reach anyone. Yet when they needed something from me, they contacted me at the very last minute.
To be clear, I was impressed with Dr. Hawey and have no complaints regarding the surgical care itself. However, the customer service and scheduling support at Loma Linda University Eye Institute has been absolutely unacceptable.
"EYE" LOVE THIS PLACE! I'm so thankful for the excellent care I get at Loma Linda Eye Institute, I always feel I'm in good hands when I stop by for an appointment with my ophthalmologist. Dr. Frank Hwang does not play around and he's straight to the point. He's thorough and consistently gives me updates on my eye health. I especially appreciate that he conducts mapping tests and eye exams all in one day! Dr. Hwang is a true professional, and Loma Linda is lucky to have him.
I also wanted to shoutout Jessica (the office coordinator) she's always super supportive, friendly and caring. I had to get a Corneal Cross-linking done here and she helped me find the necessary resources to ensure I got the procedure rolling. Dr, Hwang and his staff seriously care about people's health!
The facility is always clean and easy to find. As soon as you walk in to the Loma Linda Clinic/Office building it's a slight curve to the right and straight ahead. I highly recommend this office as they have up-to-date imaging and advanced technology. There's satellite clinics for the Eye Institute, but I recommend booking here as this is where all the main imaging and tests are ran.
Nice office nice location but it seems like the staff is not too knowledgeable about what's going on. We've been there four times and they're doing the same tests and it seems like they're stuck on repeat. Finally got an appointment for surgery in a few weeks from now. It was a lot of back and forth and the same test x-rays photographs over and over. Hopefully all goes well for my buddy and we can move on from this entire experience. Not sure if I can recommend this eye institution.
AMAZING STAFF! It was my first time here, and my son's second visit, and the staff was just as amazing as my mom said they would be. The doctor, nurse, and receptionist were all so kind and gentle with my toddler and he clearly loves them too. I would recommend everyone to go here, especially for their little ones. We were in and out of our appointment within 20 minutes of walking through the building.
I don't have sufficient words to express how grateful I am of Dr. Khazaeni and her staff, especially Ms. Andrea S. We feel reassured, listened to, cared for and supported in every visit. Today I reached out via MyChart and Andrea reached out to me on the same day. They knew exactly what I needed and why. They take care of us and we appreciate them. Their understanding and support has helped us during this journey that we're helping our son navigate. It truly does take a team and we are with the best!!
Been taking my parents here for over 20 years. The doctors are great, but the wait time is ridiculous. Expect at least a 2-hour appointment. Longest I've been here? 4.5 hours.
I had a great experience here at Loma Linda and mines was a success story. Dr. Hawy was very kind, compassionate, and made sure my vision improved; In addition, to this day she makes sure my sight stays healthy. The staff are also kind and professional, well organized, and always willing to answer questions. I highly recommend this location.
