Dr. Steven Pascal has been my ophthalmologist for at least 15 years. Dr. Pascal was unavailable but his partner Dr. Katherine Chen was available to perform my eye exam. I also saw Dr. Fong (Optometrist) for my eyeglasses prescription. For several years I have been extremely satisfied with their staffs' professionalism & friendliness during my eye exam & eyeglasses purchases.

Dr. Loman is fabulous, BUT practice management is a big issue. Called Monday AM for my annual exam..now it's Wednesday almost 5 Pm...not a word back. Not the first time. I've moved and am firing them.

I have been a patient of Eye Physicians of the East Bay for almost twenty years and have always found the doctors and staff friendly, professional, and caring. I had cataract surgery that did not go as I had hoped (that is rare for most people) and Dr. Wang patiently answered my questions, fit me in for post op care many times. Meanwhile, Dr. Lin kept tweaking my prescription until she found a way to balance my skewed eyesight. The smart staff are always helpful too - the assistants are great at answering the phone, advising and getting eyedrops etc.

I was a past patient of this practice and had a great experience. When I moved back to the area I tried four times, online, phone call, email and their text system without any response even though their system said that someone would reach out in 24-48 hours. Long and behold about 6 weeks later, after I found another practice they finally reached out.

Have had a really difficult time scheduling with this place. Texts go without response, and receptionists hang up phones or put you on hold with no notice. Would strongly recommend they fix that. I can't speak to the experience in the office -- haven't been able to schedule time to go in.

The staff in the office really helped me out. I was leaving the country but needed appointments prior to my departure. They hit the ball out of the park by booking my appts so that my laser appt enabled me to both have the procedure and have time to heal and order new glasses. They were so helpful that I can't thank them enough. Kudos to the staff and their sensitivity to my situation. Debbie

I have been very happy with both the medical treatment I have received from Eye Physicians of the East Bay, and with their professionalism and kindness. I use a mobility scooter, and I have found some physician's offices challenging both in terms of physical accommodation and in personal dignity. The staff and docs here have been great on both counts. There was a confusion about my insurance at one point, but I was patient and they were patient, and we figured it out.
Dr. Pascal was described to me by my optometrist as a marvelous surgeon, and that is certainly the truth. He and his staff are terrific.
