Buena Vista Eyecare

I had an excellent experience at this ophthalmology office. The staff was welcoming, efficient, and highly knowledgeable. My exam was thorough, and everything was explained clearly, from diagnostic steps to treatment options. The doctor took the time to answer all my questions and made me feel completely at ease. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for quality eye care. The young lady (Hope) was very patient and helpful as I tried many pairs of glasses. I recommend anyone who needs to have their eye exam and glasses to make an appointment.

I had a great experience, getting my eyes examined and multiple sets of glasses. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable to all my questions and would definitely go back for any of my eye needs. I would definitely recommend.

Phelan office is charging a 4% surcharge on credit and debit card use. This is illegal in the state of CA especially as it pertains to debit card use. They can offer a discount for cash but cannot add an additional charge for use of credit card and can never add surcharge to debit card use. Unless you can pay cash for all services and products you will be paying 4% more than the actual fee/price. Just FYI.

I had a great experience at Buena Vista in Phelan. Dr. Poblete was very nice and the staff were helpful as I tried contacts for the first time.

I travel all the way from Los Angeles to Phelan just to see Dr. Vanesian. The best on his field. Staff is always courteous and there is never long waits.

We decided to use Buena Vista eye care 3 years ago. After major mistakes with glasses, poor customer service and poor attitudes from the office staff, we went back to our old office. We found out several things. The glasses from Buena Vista have significantly higher prices, they do not share all of the levels of benefits that are allowed by your insurance, many of the covered options are not on their "price list" causing higher costs that are not needed. Upon returning to our old eye office this past week and ordering the same level of glasses, the price difference was over $300 due to what we are actually allowed versus what Buena Vista claimed we were allowed for coverage. In the 3 years my glasses were wrong each year and had to be sent back to the lab to be corrected. My wife also discovered that her glasses were not made properly last year and did not have the correct progression lenses used in both lenses. When contacting the office, the office manager was rude, condescending and unwilling to acknowledge mistakes. I finally had to go to my insurance company to get authorized to have a different office and lab get my lenses corrected. Unfortunately for the optometrists, who were fantastic each time, the office and lab are less than effective. I would not suggest anyone use this office for any reason

Gem in Phelan! Grateful to have this hi tech, great service optometrist close to home! 2020: My experience in the actual appointment was great, and I am happy with my script (and with the fact that I was not tested so much that the tests became ineffective.) I was given a great deal of information about the health of my eyeballs and learned much about eye health which was fun. I appreciate the advice I was given. I felt comfortable (except for the lack of face masks) and plan to stay with this practice. They have a great selection of eyeglasses as well.

I absolutely love coming to Dr. Vanesian's office for my eye care. He and his staff are very friendly and professional...it is like being with family! His office is always up on all of the new technology in eye care. He and his staff take their time with you during your exam(s) - they explain everything as they go and they are happy to answer any questions you may have. I would highly recommend them for your eye health.
