I had booked an appointment to meet with Dr. Swamynathan for Nov 18, 2025 for 10 AM. I was made to wait for more than 2 hours before she showed up. Valley Eye Care charges patients for no-show or (I think) if they show up late. Why is there no such control on their own staff. I found no sense of sympathy for my time. I believe there is some element of malpractice in play here. More appointments are booked than what a doctor can handle while delivering an unacceptable level of service and patient care. Very poor experience.

We've been patients at this office for several years and initially had a good experience. However, over the past year, the quality of service has declined significantly. Appointments now involve long wait times, and the doctor seems rushed--spending less than 10 minutes on what should be a thorough 6-month exam. When we decided to transfer to a different provider, the situation became even more frustrating. Their medical records department is completely unresponsive. I began calling over a month ago--more than 50 calls--and every time, the call went straight to voicemail. I never received a call back. Since we were due for an exam and needed to reorder contact lenses, I explained the urgency to the front desk. They told me to submit the request via email. It's frustrating that this simple instruction wasn't mentioned in the voicemail message--people are left calling a number that no one monitors. I followed their directions and sent the email, but it's now been two weeks with no response. This experience makes it clear that the practice does not prioritize patient care or communication. Accessing your own medical records--something you are legally entitled to--should not be this difficult. My children are now overdue for their annual exams and new lenses, and it has been incredibly stressful trying to navigate this process. We've never encountered issues like this at other medical offices in the area. I strongly recommend avoiding this practice.

The receptionist is rude and the office is so dirty. My appointment was 20 min late. Only saving grace is the doctor was nice and friendly.

Dr Lorraine is extremely caring and attentive to every detail. She has the knowledge and the expertise to answer every single concern and offer an appropriate solution. I feel fortunate to have her as a care provider for my vision health. Also, the assistant that took care of me prior to meeting Dr Lorraine was wonderful and made me feel at ease with her calm and kind personality. Thank you

Dr. Trentacosti and Dr. Gagnon were both highly professional and personable. The new medical tech David was also highly professional and engaging. They made my visit to Valley EyeCare Center a very enjoyable and pleasant experience. I definitely look forward to my next visit.

The front office staff checked me in right away in a calm and friendly manner. The medical aid tested my eyes on several instruments and explained what the tests were for and what I needed to do in a friendly clear manner. She made sure the instruments were clean and properly set up before use. Dr. Gagnon greeted me, as always, in a warm, friendly, professional manner and showed me the images of my eyes and explained and answered all of my questions. I left there with confident knowledge that my eyes were in great shape. I couldn't have asked for better care!

I hear Alejandro Reyes is exceptional at his job.

This was my first eye doctor visit in decades. Was assigned Dr. Huang, who was very professional yet friendly. The routine exam was thorough, using very modern equipment. Every examination step was explained, including the results. The office staff, from the lady at the front desk, to the technicians who ran some preliminary tests were all very friendly and knowledgeable. There was no trouble with my health insurance (UHC), and the new-patient forms were short and fast to fill out. The entire visit, including waiting for the eye drops, took only an hour. I was very happy with Dr. Huang. Although young, she was sharp. Everyone in the practice spoke perfect English, so there was no trouble with communication. Plenty of parking out front. I could not be happier with the doctor, or the office in general.
