America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Poor staff communication, I called this location because my insurance stated it was in network. When calling for an appointment I tried giving the individual that answered my call my vision insurance and she would not take it. She stated that she could take it when I came in for my appointment. Fast forward to my appt day I check in and the front desk tells me to have a seat. I then asked do you want my insurance info? They took it and told me that although they were in network the Dr was not. Complete waste of my time.

The Optometrist and the optician is fine but those who are At the front desk, need customer service skills

I've been going to America's Best since they opened at the Terraces. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. They make it super easy to have your contacts or glasses delivered to you if you can't make it into the shop. The eye care plan is a great deal too. Check them out.

Best serivce with affordable price for my son eye glasses. Very detailed with information and very helpful. Optometrist was very helpful explaining the procedures before and after. Staff was very nice and helpful with choices of frames and appt time.

Don't be fooled by $89 special I paid $500 for 1 pair of sunglasses. I do like them but false advertising for sure!!!

The person who tested my eyesight was efficient and courteous. The optomitrist was okay but seemed rushed, and he didn't go over my eye pressure or retinal image. The guy who then ordered my lens prescription at the check-out stage was extremely rude and didn't explain the pricing well. Very poor customer service. Not sure where his attitude comes from. The only "Best" part about the company name is the relative inexpensive contact lens prices. Not sure if I will return.

This review is strictly for my over the phone experience ordering my contacts. I've been a customer of Americas Best for 5 years and I've been going to this location for 2 years. Idk what this guys problem was! I called nicely just trying to order my contacts and he was so rude, not listening and being condescending. He literally made a problem when there wasn't a problem at all. For example He asked me if I wanted my contacts shipped I told him "yes" then gives me an attitude telling me I can't because I'm using my insurance. So idk why he even asked me *I was so confused*. I tried asking questions because I've never had this problem before and his tone kept getting worse. I asked for his name from another employee and she told me his name was Johnny and that he actually was an optometrist there! I was shocked. I recommend not going to this location!

I called to ask questions and figure out a few things with my insurance but the lady that answered me was rude. She seemed annoyed more and more. I understand it's annoying to work with customers but I wasn't being mean at all. I was just trying to ask questions and figure out my situation. I am a bit of a slow talker but that's because I have autism. I'm trying. I still don't think it's ok for the assistants to get bothered for that. She would cut me off and put me on hold without telling me she was putting me on hold. So I was left talking to myself. I called back to ask for a manager and at first she seemed nice but then she also seemed annoyed by my slow talk. I guess I also get annoyed with myself I do hate that I have trouble speaking. I go through this a lot. But there are people that are super nice and actually help without giving attitude and when I find places like that I get so happy and I stay there and I am a faithful customer. I have a good paying job. Is just my speech that I have difficulty with. I am going back to my optometrist. I wanted to try America's best glasses because they are more affordable. My regular optometrist has more expensive glasses but they are brands like coach, Prada, ray bans, and they treat me well. So I'm going back and staying with my optometrist. I been to America's best glasses before the one on western in Torrance and the doctors are great. The assistants are the ones i keep having bad experiences with.
