Dr. Janice Fong, Optometrists

Dr Fong is amazing. She really takes her time to understand your eyes and will do everything to make sure you get the best care. I have dry eyes, strong nearsightedness and astigmatism and she has been a major help. Highly recommend (though she does book up!).

I have had a great experience with Dr. Fong as my optometrist. I moved to San Francisco in January and really lucked out selecting Dr Fong from a long list of providers approved by my health insurance company. My first visit with her was for a general vision check-up and to order new contact lenses. I've never had a more thorough check-up in my life: she was very professional and friendly, explaining the various procedures of the process. She also was very keen to ask me questions about my vision history and habits so that she could provide feedback and suggestions about how to better care for my eyes. Genuinely cares about providing complete help, offers very flexible schedules and is quick to accommodate any emergency visits. The office is small and nothing fancy but Dr Fong is top notch.

Truly the best optometrist I've ever had. She found an astigmatism which I have NEVER been told before. This is because she took the time to really examine my eyes and gave me a diagnosis. She also told me to make sure I work out my eyes by looking away from my screens and out to farther distances to help with the onset of needing reading glasses. Also recommended eye drops every time I take out my contacts... One year later, I come back and there's a slight correction in my astigmatism bc I followed her instructions. She takes her time, is very caring and knows what she's talking about. You will come in and talk about eye health and life in general. She is a true gem. Please wear your masks when you visit.

Best eye doctor I have ever had. Works toward improving your vision, and incredibly thorough in analyzing every aspect of your vision. She also works with whole families at once if everyone in the family needs an eye exam annually.

Dr. Fong is great! I had been putting off my blurred night vision for too long. Finally brought it up to my doctor who referred me to this office. A friendly and caring experience from beginning to end. Dr. Fong explained my condition in a way that was easy to understand and gently introduced me to the world of glasses. She was also very patient as we looked for the frames that I was comfortable with. My glasses were ready within a couple weeks and I can see perfectly again! The office is very clean and COVID precautions are taken seriously. Thank you Dr. Fong!

Janet Fong is the most skilled, detail oriented optometrist I have had since I began wearing glasses 50 years ago. In the first office visit you can appreciate the difference in the care she delivers versus other able providers.

I've been seeing Dr. Fong for at least 10 years and she is wonderful. She cares a lot about her patients and takes the time to ensure you are getting the best care possible. Dr. Fong just moved into a beautiful new office and now has the top notch facilities to compliment her top notch care.

Recently moved to the area and was looking for a new optometrist. I'm incredibly happy I went to see Dr. Fong! Not only is she extremely thorough, but she also takes time to explain everything (and in terms the layperson can understand). Go see Dr. Fong--you won't regret it!
