Eye Studio Optometrist

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I strongly caution anyone considering this optometrist -- avoid!After years of taking my children here and tolerating frequent inconveniences and excessive out-of-pocket charges, I finally reached my limit. Trying to schedule an initial appointment for my youngest daughter turned into a nightmare. It took three separate attempts -- and still no appointment. First, I physically visited the office to schedule. The front desk refused to proceed unless I emailed them the insurance card. I sent it the next day -- and heard nothing for a week. When I called, they claimed they couldn't find the email and promised a callback, which never happened. I followed up again, and this time they verified the insurance but demanded a "second insurance card" -- which I don't have with me at the point. I explained that as all my children are on the exact same verified insurance plan that they already have on file, my youngest daughter's insurance coverage should be trusted. Despite my repeated explanations and polite requests -- even offering to bring the card in person before the appointment -- they still refused to schedule. The staff showed absolutely no flexibility or care for long-standing patients.After years of loyalty and paying high charges, we are taking our business elsewhere. This practice clearly values rigid policies and disorganized office procedures over patient care. If you value professionalism, responsiveness, reasonable charge and basic respect -- find another optometrist.

I simply called to ask about certain policies with my insurance and they were extremely rude and unprofessional. Basically yelling at me over the phone when I asked for clarification with my genuine questions.

About three years I began my eye care life with Eye Studio on Broadway and I have no complaints. The optometrist is available at the requested times, the staff allow me enough time to look around and choose which glasses fit me best, the prices are great, and they are do everything in a timely manner. I love this place!

I am glad I found Eye Studio and Dr. Kwong for my vision needs. I had tried other sites, but none of them made me feel as comfortable. I had a positive experience this year; so I plan to return for next year for my eye exam and glasses needs. Dr. Kwong was very patient when she assessed my condition and listened to my needs and concerns. It actually took several tries to get what I needed--first I tried contact lenses eventually chose progressive glasses. I don't know all the names of the office staff, but in general they have been very helpful in every aspect of my appointments and fitting sessions. I probably frustrated them the time when they were teaching me how to fit in my contact lenses; so I apologize. I am very fortunate that Chelsea has been there for every visit I've made (on weekends). Her professionalism is a valuable asset for Eye Studio. I observed that she genuinely cares about the customers and treats them with respect.

Let's be honest...... This Optical office...has got to be, the Best of the Best.... From start...to finish... This place Rock's ! The Doctor...Staff......Eyewear.....as well as being conveniently located in S.F. Chinatown....right next to a public parking garage....Wow ! So next time your seeking a Fantastic experience....... Exemplary service....and Quality Eyewear... This has been established ...I'm my Opinion, As a place....for everyone.

Friendly staff

I've been going to this place for 10+ years. They've treated me so well, also very nice and helpful. Gotten my glasses/frames/contacts here. While getting my contacts here, they were very patient while I struggled to put them on. I guess other people who have bad reviews don't understand the limited space and staffing to cater to 10+ people who actually schedule appointments. Womp Womp.
