IN-Efficient office Staff does not follow up and renew prescriptions in a timely manner. Does NOT return calls within a reasonable amount of time. Always get the runaround "will look into it" and never do.
I came in with a painful cornea reinjury after calling the emergency line on a Sunday. The office called me first on Monday. One of the other doctors brought in Dr Oxford as the cornea specialist. She was compassionate, efficient, and knowledgeable. Her experience was clear and she helped me while coaching the younger doctor, who was comfortable asking for advice and guidance, in such a respectful way. There was no ego and everyone's priority seemed to be providing the best care. It reassuring to see the collaboration. When I had a tough first night, Dr Oxford fit me in the next day to make sure I was on track. I'm so grateful she was brought in for a consult and admire both her commitment to her patients and the mentorship she provides those on her team. The nurses, receptionist staff, and everyone in the office seem to have the same attitude. Thrilled to have found this team!
Dr. Oxford is thorough, attentive and gives you her full attention. She is upbeat and pleasant. She is also very cautious, therefore I trust her advice. I have been with her and the practice for at least 20 years. I feel lucky to have her as my doctor. I felt very safe visiting the office yesterday.
I am grateful and appreciative for Dr. Oxford's genuine concern for my overall health, for her honesty and the wisdom she shares on her perspective toward life. I have been her patient for several years and have observed that she always takes the time to evaluate my welfare and not just rush through my exam. Her work is exemplary!
I had an appointment with Dr. Oxford and was entirely unpleased with my experience. It was beyond obvious that she was in a rush; all of my questions were answered with curt, minimal explanations. I mentioned several times that I was a cancer patient and wondered if the diagnosis might be correlated to Chemo, which she never addressed, not even bothering to ask the extent of my treatment. Her treatment suggestion was to stop using contacts, use drops and come back in a month. When I explained that I had already been doing that for many months with no improvement, she brushed it aside and said "This takes a long time to heal". I also mentioned that without contacts I have extremely limited vision, making it very difficult for me to take care of my 3 year old, drive or do my job. Her response was to set me up with an occupational therapist who could show me how to enlarge the print on my computer (Thanks, this is 2020, I know how to do that for myself). These are genuine quality of life issues that she brushed aside in a patronizing manner. All in, Dr. Oxford was dismissive with very little time or energy spent going over her assessment of my issue, or offering any real, concrete options for remedying the situation. After a year of heavy chemo and multiple surgeries, I have been around some truly incredible doctors who offer exceptional care and go the extra mile for their patients. Sadly, Dr. Oxford can not be counted among those doctors. I felt like a task on her to-do list and nothing more. The entire appointment was a waste of time and money and I'll be seeking a second opinion. Dr. Oxford should take the time to treat patients like people or retire.
Dr. Oxford is my Cataract surgeon. She made sure I understood the options as well as the treatment. You are provided with a folder with all your instructions and Rxs, as well as phone numbers, directions, etc. It's a same-day surgery so no over night. The aftercare is very impressive. I've had 3 post-op visits, the first was the next day, then a month and now every 6 months.
This is my second cataract surgery at this practice. A very impressive team effort, very organized and effective. Dr. Oxford is an amazing surgeon and I had a great outcome both times, no longer needing corrective lenses. Highly recommend this practice for many kinds of vision needs.
Dr. Oxford can be very informative and seems quite competent. But one has to go in prepared to ask the most relevant questions quickly, because she tends to race through the appointment. I like doctors to take more time and ask a lot of questions that might turn up true health issues a patient might not know to mention. I don't have any serious eye problems, but if I did, I would hope Dr. Oxford could become more engaged.
