Dr Vrouvas is Amazing!! I used to go to his practice years ago and left because of insurance reasons. I recently went back even though I am still out of network because I value his expertise in the field! He is not only the best doctor but he has the state of the art equipment. Brenda who is also equally fantastic got me in quickly and was very friendly. I would highly recommend making Ab appointment.

After 22 years of being a dentist and having myopia, Dr Vrouvas was the first doctor to solve my main issue by just telling me that I don't need to wear my contacts while working with magnification loupes. This small tip had a tremendous effect on me. My eyes don't get tired as before. He is meticulous, very knowledgeable, a great listener and a pleasant human being.

I was SO pleased with my eye exam with Dr. Vrouvas! He takes his time and is very thorough, asking about my general health, what my life style is, etc... as a way to understand my needs more fully. I hadn't previously thought about how other general health conditions (cholesterol for example) can affect the eyes. My previous eye doctor was very perfunctory, just did the basics and had me in and out in a very short time. I felt so much better taken care of with this more in-depth exam. Oh and not to mention: he has the latest technology to take pix of your eyes w/o dilation... and he goes over the pix with you explaining what you see. Really terrific eye doctor!

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Vrouvas for over 35 years. In my opinion, he's the best eye doctor in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has the latest eye testing equipment and gives very complete eye examinations. But the best thing about Dr. Vrouvas is that he is very friendly and thoroughly explains what going on with your vision, and addresses all your concerns. In short, Dr. Vrouvas and his staff will give you the best of the best in eye vision care.

Dr. Vrouvas' eye exam was fine and he explained everything well, but the eye glasses I got are terrible. The woman who fitted me with new glasses did not seem very sure about the lenses I needed and got them all wrong. They do not respond to messages sent through their website. Money down the drain.

I have been a patient of Dr. Vroubas for many years. I see him every year for my annual check up. He is very thorough with his examinations and always takes the time to explain to me the results of the tests. He always finds the time to ask about my health in general and how it relates to the tests. He shows me comparisons of the tests from previous years. I'm never kept waiting for my appointments. His staff is very cordial, friendly and professional. I wouldn't want to see anybody else even though I have moved out of the city.
I would recommend him to anyone needing to see an optometrist in San Francisco.
I hope he never retires.
