I was a patient there for years. I had very good experiences and truly horrible experiences.
At one point the office mngr became angry with me, as she was handling something a doctor should have been handling and she didn't understand the medical issues. She got very angry if I tried to explain it to her.
Later I received a letter telling me they would no longer treat me. They gave no reason for this decision.
I had told them I was packing to move out of state. My eye conditions are such, that I can be high risk at times and require medical care to retain my vision.
Since I was preparing to leave the state, this left me with no care if I had an eye emergency.
It really felt like the office manager had taken over my medical care and decisions. It seemed unlikely either of my doctors were involved in that decision, as there'd never been issues with either of them.
I felt abandoned for no reason except a clerks pettiness and it put my vision at risk.
The best experience ever ! From doctor visits to surgery center. Everything was easy , professional and delightful. Dr Lin is amazing and funny. My new eyesight is miraculous. Can't wait to do the other eye. I would recommend Dr Lin and staff to everyone. Thanks!
I do NOT recommend this eye clinic. During my checkup, I was assisted by someone who appeared to be a high school student. After the appointment, my right eye was uncomfortable for days. This is unacceptable for a routine eye exam. For your safety, I suggest going somewhere else.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
As a healthcare provider myself, I am shocked and heartbroken by the complete lack of professionalism and compassion here. My appointment was at 3:30 PM -- I was taken in and dilated without ever seeing a doctor, then left waiting for over two hours with no communication.
When I asked to speak with a manager, he arrived rude, dismissive, and unapologetic. He told me I'd be charged if I wanted the dilation reversed -- even though I never received any medical service. When I said I would share my experience publicly, he accused me of "making threats."
This is unacceptable and deeply unethical. Patients deserve respect, transparency, and basic professionalism -- none of which exist here.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
This place runs like clockwork. There's a bit of a wait for cataract surgery, but mine from Dr. Lin was painless and quite effective. I can donate my glasses to Lions Club! And thank you, Sarah Caracter, for organizing it all:)
Stay away from this clinic. I saw a retiring doctor twice and every interaction with the front desk was dismissive and disorganized. After my doctor retired, I was told to book a follow-up with a new physician, but they couldn't schedule me for a month because the new doctor wasn't in their system. When I called back, the earliest slot was two months out.
Today I arrived for the long-delayed appointment only to learn it had been canceled ten days ago--without any notice. The front desk staffer barely looked up, updated my info in silence, then said flatly, "Next available isn't until November 8." I left immediately.
Unprofessional, indifferent, and impossible to schedule with. Avoid this place.
Stay away from this practice. They will not process referrals sent to them, they will offer conflicting information every time you call, and all of your interactions will have to go through an administrative staff who is seemingly hellbent on turning potential patients away. I have no idea if the doctors here are any good and unfortunately I'll never find out.
I had cataract surgery on both eyes in two sessions with Dr. Lin. The procedure was very efficient and painless as I was told it would be. The results are great. I would recommend Pacific Eye Associates to anyone.
