I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ella Faktorovich and the entire team at Pacific Vision Institute. I originally came in just for a consultation. I had a lot of questions and wasn't even sure if I was fully committed to moving forward with LASIK yet. From the very first appointment, the team made everything feel easy, organized, and seamless. The process -- from initial screening and detailed eye exams to scheduling and surgery day -- was incredibly smooth. Looking back, it all happened quickly, but never felt rushed. That efficiency is clearly the result of a team that works beautifully together. One of my biggest concerns going in was pain. I have a low pain tolerance and have had issues with medications not working well for me in the past. Dr. Faktorovich took the time to explain how the nerves in the eye function differently and reassured me that I would not feel pain during the procedure. She was absolutely right -- I felt zero pain. On surgery day, there was a noticeable energy in the office -- focused and professional, but calm and reassuring. It wasn't cold or clinical; it felt confident and steady. Dr. Faktorovich's bedside manner is exceptional. She communicated with me throughout the procedure, gave constant feedback on how I was doing, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. The recovery was immediate. I had LASIK (not PRK), and I was functional the same day. No pain, no side effects -- just clear vision. I now have 20/15 vision, which is honestly life-changing. It has been the best investment I've ever made in myself. A huge thank you to Dr. K for her patience and precision in dialing in my prescription, and to Anastasia for such a thorough and thoughtful initial consult -- she answered every single question I had. In late 2025, I received Light Adjustable Lens implants from PVI to correct cataracts in both eyes. Dr. Ella Faktorovich and her team of doctors and medical professionals were absolutely outstanding from beginning to end - from the pre-operative examinations and consultations, during the procedure, and throughout the post-operative process. The PVI team carefully explained available options, they very happily answered all of my questions, I was fully prepared well in advance, and then carefully guided through every step along the way. Most importantly, in the end, the results of my procedure were simply fantastic - not only exactly spot on for what I had requested, but even better than what had I expected. The procedure went very smoothly, it did not take very long at all, and there was no post-operative discomfort. By the next morning I was amazed and so very happy with my restored vision. I believe the secret of Dr. Faktorovich and the PVI team is that they provide not only advanced corrective procedures and technologies, combined with top-tier medical/surgical care, but also, importantly, very friendly, thorough, and supportive patient care. I'll also mention that back in 2004, I received LASIK from Dr. Faktorovich, which was again also successful beyond my expectations, and with the same wonderful patient care throughout. Just had LASIK with Dr. Faktorovich! Life-changing experience! I originally did a consult at her practice perhaps ~5 years ago but was not stable at the time so she recommended I wait until I stabilized. I came back years later (and consulted 3 other doctors to "do some due diligence" even thought my friend said he got his eyes done here too) and STILL went with Dr.Faktorovich!! She provided so much comfort throughout the entire process and was so kind and reassuring that I had no hesitations choosing her as my surgeon. The knowledge that Dr.Faktorovich carries is unmatched. Dr.K was thorough and great as well leaving me room to ask any questions I might have. Brenda, Ana, Dean, and Deserae were all also so warm and helpful throughout my entire experience. I got my Lasik done at PVI earlier this year, and to this day, my vision is incredible, improved from being "legally blind". I've been wearing glasses and contacts since about 4th grade. I am more than 100% happy with my results, in fact I see better now than with my glasses, or contacts. One day of taking it easy for recovery and I was driving to my follow-up appointment the day after. There are just not enough good things to say about Dr. Faktorovich and her staff. Every step of the procedure is clearly outlined and explained in simple terms, they go out of their way to ensure your comfort both during consultation and the surgery itself (which took all of 10 minutes!) If you've lived in Francisco for any amount of time, you may know that finding any Doctor's office with a polite, informed, helpful and happy staff is a very rare thing. PVI employs some of most professional and wonderful people I've met in any of my medical experiences. I would highly, highly recommend this clinic if you're looking to get this procedure done, you will not regret it! Life changing beyond my best possible expectations. Dr. Faktorovich and the entire team at Pacific Vision Institute made my experience with LASIK laser eye surgery as smooth and effortless as possible. The pre-operative was thorough, highly transparent and informative, the procedure was practically painless, recovery was almost instantaneous and my vision quality after surgery is just excellent. One year past my surgery I had an exhaustive eye check with my optometrist confirming my vision remains better than 20/20 and my eyes look healthy. A year in and I still wake up in the morning amazed I can see so well. I'm sure it happens, but I cannot imagine getting a better service elsewhere!

Pacific Vision Institute was a great experience overall! From scheduling the first consultation all the way through my post op LASIK procedure, the entire staff was highly professional, kind, and efficient. At first I was a little shocked by the cost, but after working with PVI, I would say the cost was well justified through the care I received.

I got LASIK done by Dr. Faktorovich at Pacific Vision Institute, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made! I went in pretty nervous since my prescription was high and I had astigmatism. I never thought I'd even be a candidate, but my optometrist (who I really trust) highly recommended her--so my husband and I drove all the way from Sacramento to see her. Totally worth it! From the start, everyone there was amazing. Ana explained all the options, recovery times, and pricing in a super clear way. Gene did all my tests quickly and even made it fun. Then I met Dr. Faktorovich--she's incredibly impressive, super honest, and uses the best technology out there, which made me feel confident moving forward. Two weeks later, I had the procedure, and it went perfectly. I followed all the post-op instructions, used the eye drops as recommended, and only had mild dryness for a bit. After a couple of months, I didn't need drops anymore, and now I'm seeing 20/15! I actually see better than my husband, who's never even needed glasses (he's jealous!). He wanted to do it too, but Dr. Faktorovich understandably didn't recommend it. If you're even thinking about LASIK, go see Dr. Faktorovich and her team. They're kind, professional, and use the latest tech. Totally worth the drive from Sacramento!

This institute is fantastic. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and professional, the specialists working under Dr. Faktorovich are kind and happy to answer any questions you have, and Dr. Faktorovich herself is very talented and nice. I was a bit apprehensive going in that, because they deal with high-profile clients here, I wouldn't be treated to quite the same standard, but this was not the case- everyone was wonderful. I had Contoura LASIK to treat my myopia. My surgery itself went perfectly! It's been about three weeks and my vision is great. Very happy I came here.
