Eyewear has inarguably evolved to be at the vanguard of personal expression-clearly as up close and personal as it gets for fashion-driven choices. Have at it, and I'm totally on board as a designer and architect. R&G has served me well through the years, accommodating my need and desire for custom frames-Wissing of Germany in my case-crafted specific to color, proportion and finish. All good thus far. My grievance is the exorbitant price charged for a minor repair such as a metal bridge replacement. $120 after three weeks of waiting is quite over the top for a routine repair. A total absence of after-sales good will. I'd have ask: does this incentivize customers to do repeat business or make recommendations? Hardly. How and who sets the (exorbitant) price for such repairs is as mysterious as the cost of crafted lens in the U.S. (scandalous IMO)-second only to the cost of prescription drugs. Having purchased the frames at R&G-it strikes me as a disingenuous to charge this much after making two purchases of the same frame in different colors and finishes-at notable cost ($975.00) Anyone fortunate enough to have travelled to Japan to curate eyewear would attest to modestly price lens and frames and especially the timeliness of delivering perfectly crafted frames-at a fraction of the cost here in the U.S. (10-15% for Hoya lens). I have been sufficiently fortunate to capitalize on numerous occasions, selecting a frame and having the lenses cut in the time you can bide relishing a bowl of ramen (about 30-45 minutes)and return to receive perfectly crafted frames-at a fraction of the cost. I bow deeply on receiving the goods, a gesture I am not inclined to provide at Rims & Goggles. Exorbitant costs, plain and simple.

Nestorius has always gone over and above the normal call of duty for me on all my eyeware and sunglass needs. I highly recommend Rims and Goggles for their selection, quality and outstanding service.
