I have had the absolute best experience here. All of my appointments run smoothly and the staff is extremely helpful. When I ran out of my yearly supply of contact lenses they even gave me a couple of "trial" lenses to tie me over until the new ones shipped. I can't say enough good things about them!

I highly recommend Dr. chew at Crystal Clear Vision Center. Charlotte and Dr. Chew run this great optometrist office. I was able to reserve my appointment online and Charlotte immediately followed up confirming I was good to go. Every step of the way, from check-in to my exam they explained exactly what they were doing. Thank you! I will return and recommend to friends.

I had to have an eye exam done and get some glasses and i found this place through google. I called and was able to get an appointment the same day as a new patient (which is like unheard of these days). The doctor was so sweet and helpful when picking which frames i wanted. They had a huge variety to choose from. I will definitely be back next time i have to renew my prescription.

Very Kind Doctor and Great Bedside Manners. This is the place to go if you're uninsured and on a budget. Her prices are extremely affordable (Cheapest in Town) and provides the best care for the value. She doesn't judge or make any sales pitch if you buy glasses or not from her clinic as she's running a community based model. She also doesn't rush and takes extra time with you to make sure you have the most accurate prescription and will review any changes with you about your eyes in full explanation. For example, my left eye nearsightedness has magically improved that I don't need any sphere lenses correction anymore and she showed me the difference with and without the magnification powers from my last prescription.

Dr. Chew is professional, personable and provides excellent care. I have never had a more thorough eye examination - glaucoma test, dilation to check my eyes internally, regular vision exam and more. I never felt rushed - I could tell that she wanted me to be fully satisfied and comfortable. In addition, her staff was patient and explained everything perfectly. I feel fortunate to have found them - my eye care insurance was ending the next day - they accepted me as a walk-in and took care of me on the spot. In my case, the co-pay for the examination was $10; and, I was able to find affordable glasses/lenses for $100 (which was my budget that the insurance would pay for). Public transportation lands you a few feet from the office (the Stockton bus); or, there is a parking garage next door. Her office is located directly across the street from the North Beach Police Station. My entire experience was positive - 5+ stars!

Teresa and her staff are always a joy to interact with, Dr. Chew had always worked with me too find the best eyewear solution that fits my personal vision needs. Has the latest modern equipment for checking eye health. I've been coming here for over a decade with no plans to stop!

Shady and deceptive business practices. They are dead set on trying to con money out of you at each step. Avoid at all cost. My husband and I went in to have our annual vision exam and to get new prescription lenses. The clerk pushed really hard to add an additional out-of-pocket anti-reflective coating with blue-light protection. We refused the blue-light option because we thought it was not necessary. We both felt being pressured since the clerk wouldn't take NO for an answer and kept pressing us multiple times. We were able to finally escape the annoyance after 10 minutes of back and forth. I was concerned that they might try other tricks after their failed attempts on the up sell, I called to verify our orders a couple of days later. Indeed, contrary to any other optometry businesses we worked with in the past 10+ years who clearly present our insurance options , they did not include the insurance covered anti-reflective coating. When I requested that they add the covered anti-reflective coating, they told me that I must pay out-of-pocket because the lenses were already made. They did not feel any remorse that they cheated us, and they had the audacity to try to yet again ask us to pay for their deceptive means. Our lenses now show a lot of glare under any light. Our eyes couldn't get use to this since we have always had the basic coating for more than a decade. It's clearly one-and-done for us. But we'd like to help others stay away from disappointment and frustration.

Beware of this facility and how they treat customers! I called this place many times throughout the day for about 2 days to try to schedule an appointment, but nobody answers the phone. Finally, somebody picked up the phone and puts me on hold forever.. I finally hung up. If it wasn't for the convenience of the location I would have went somewhere else. I finally went in person to try get an appointment. The ladies doesn't acknowledge your presence and when I tried to let them know I am just trying to schedule an appointment they said just call them since they're busy. But nobody answers the phone. After about a week I finally got a hold of someone after explaining to them I've put a tremendous amount of efforts to try to get an appointment a lady finally help me schedule an appointment. Today, I went to my appointment only to get bad attitudes from a Chinese lady that was a bit on the overweight side. She had shoulder length hair and refused to provide service after I said they haven't been very friendly. I will never come back to this place to get my prescription glasses. Everytime I had an encounter with them it's always a bad experience and I'd feel like I am not valued. The ladies who works there are very rude, and they throw a bad attitudes like it is their privilege to service customers. I've never had encountered such bad and unprofessional service from any medical office before.
