Through the Hayes Optometry

I had a great experience here. The appointment was on time, the eye doctor was kind and professional, and I had very attentive and efficient help purchasing frames. This store has one of the best collections of frames in the city. It is curated such that there is plenty of variety without being overwhelming. They offer high-quality and designer brands. Highly recommend.

I went to visit Through the Hayes in early January. Had a great time trying on new frames to find my style with the manager. The manager told me they would order the frames I loved but in a different color that I was more drawn to. 2 weeks go by and I never heard from Through the Hayes. I called them myself and explained the situation. The front desk person told me they will contact the manager and will give me a call back with an update. Again, never heard from them for another 2 weeks. I called again and even explain that if someone forgot to order them, that is okay and I really am looking forward to the frames in the specific color. I get the same answer back from the front desk person. I never heard back. Finally, I go to a different optometrist - I get the frames I wanted ordered to try on (2 week process) and then I get them with my prescription (about a 4 week process total). A month and a half later I hear back from Through the Hayes that the frames I wanted were ready to try on. Are you kidding me? Absolutely awful communication from Through the Hayes. Spend your money elsewhere.

I came to Through The Hayes Optometry to get prescription lenses for two pairs of glasses, and I'm so glad I chose them. Caitlynn provided exceptional customer service. She patiently helped me select the right lenses, coatings, and tint, and went above and beyond to make sure the tint matched my old pair perfectly. I just picked up my new frames, and they look fantastic. Thank you, Caitlynn, for making the whole process easy and enjoyable. I'll definitely be back for my next set of frames. I have been going to Hayes Optometry for many years and have always been happy to come home with good vision and cool frames. This year I got my husband to go with me. The exam is very thorough and Caitlynn helped us find the right frames, customizing the prescription and the right fit. She spent a lot of time with us. Thank you Caitlynn.

Dr. Tam and the staff are absolutely amazing. My wife and I didn't realize what we'd been missing in getting eye support until we started seeing her. There's truly something about the attention and care she gives, as well as her explanations, that really make a huge difference in understanding my vision and how to approach treatment as my eyes are impacted by computer strain and age. We are moving out of state and truly sad that my eyes wont be in Dr. Tam's care!

While the staff is friendly, it doesn't make up for the lack of accountability and competency. Buying a simple pair of sunglasses had become a two month long fiasco that had me asking "what have I gotten myself into?" and "Do I really need these glasses that badly?" I'm so relieved that it is finally over. Please realize an excuse and apology is not service recovery, especially when you've paid over $700.

Great experience. Exam with the doctor was one of the most thorough i've ever had. took time to explain what they were doing and answered all of my questions. will be back in a year!

Wonderful doctors, awful customer service. I have been going here for years but am now looking for a new eye doctor -- they don't call you back when they promise, they don't tell you when your contacts arrive. And they never apologize.
