Dr. Eric J. Kahle

Caring and very competent! I'm a long time patient and am enjoying restored vision after cataract surgery last year. I have recommended him to friends often. My experience has been nothing but positive.

My husband had been dealing with terrible eye problems and 2 other Opthomoligist's have told us his problems are totally related to multiple surgeries done my Mr. Kahle. First my husband had detached retinas, then new lenses were put on the outside of his eyes instead of inside, then they caused him to get glaucoma. I got him enrolled in my insurance company, he went to Kaiser ( after 3 years of suffering and The inability to drive.) I found a specialist out of the area, she operated on one eye and his vision went from 20/250 to 20/25. The other eye was ruined forever by this "surgeon"... by the way you will never go there and be taken on time for your appointment. My husband was going sometimes two or three times a week, waiting at least an hour every single time sometimes as long as four hours with an appointment. This man has no consideration for your time he thinks it's all about him.

Easy 5 star rating for Dr. Kahle. He is a fabulous eye surgeon/doctor and every experience I've had with him has been totally positive. He's a professional who really cares for the patient. I trust him with my eyes!

I was referred to Dr. Kahle by my optometris, Dr. Hoyer, for dry eye. AFTER a number of appointments, Dr. Kahle informed me that the left tear duct was blocked and the only solution was surgery. I opted out and struggled with the annoying ointments, until last week, (now two years later). I went to another Opthamalogist on East Coast, and confidently told him that I had a blocked tear duct. He opened up the duct by using a small tool and flushed my tear duct with saline until I could taste it. Thus, finding that if the tear duct was blocked, surgery was not the only solution. After two years of believing this quack, Dr. Kahle, (thanks to a second opinion), I now have a cleansed eye duct passage and new plugs. Very disappointing! I would not reccomend Dr Kahle.

As a follow-up to his cataract surgery Dr. Kahle instructed his assistant in his Clearlake office to test for edema by placing toxic drops in my wounded eye. I protested but she persisted. A friend witnessed in disbelief. It caused scarring and painful after effects that are irreversable that will trouble me forever. Today I was denied a driver's license by the DMV. Yet this negligent provider continues to prosper and build his lousy second rate business.

Wonderful doctor. Caring, open to discussion and questions, takes time to know his patients. Gentle and focused on patient care. Had an excellent experience with him.

I still can't see out of eye after cataract surgery. Has gotten worse, now seeing someone else to get help.
