I've been a patient Of Dr Hielman optometry for at least 20 years. During that time I always got great service, and I was always happy with my glasses and my contacts. Recently though I had a great deal of difficulty in purchasing and getting the correct contacts and lenses. My new glasses weren't correct and instead of sending me back to Dr Hielman, optometrist working for Dr Hielman decided I should just buy some readers. I was on my second sample of readers when Dr. Heilmann fixed my original glasses. Why this wasn't suggested before is a lack of communication between staff and Dr. Therefore I did not need nor did I agree to order a third pair of readers that were unnecessary, and extremely expensive., i Particularly during this time of Covid and being unemployed I would've never agreed to the price. Consequently Dr. Hielman's office refuses to give me back my glasses, I gave them my frames I previously bought there to have the reader lenses put in. I don't understand how someone can hold my frames hostage and won't return them. I never agreed to a third pair verbally and I never signed anything giving authority. This particular visit was the worst one I have ever experienced there,. I had to go back-and-forth to the office approximately four or five times. Considering that I've been such a loyal and longtime client, it's shocking to me to be treated so poorly . I Certainly won't be going back to Dr. Hielman's office, and I wouldn't be able to recommend him to my clients anymore. So now I'm gonna to have to find some type of legal measure I guess to get my frames returned. Sandra del Casale
