I cannot recommend Dr. Joshua highly enough. He is an exceptional optometrist who successfully fitted me with a very complicated scleral contact lens--a process that requires a high level of expertise, patience, and precision. From the initial evaluation through follow-ups, his knowledge, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to getting the fit exactly right were outstanding. My entire family has also been treated here, and we are all extremely happy with the level of care and service we received. In addition, I want to sincerely compliment his wife for her warm hospitality and consistently positive attitude. She makes the office feel welcoming and comfortable from the moment you walk in. This practice delivers both clinical excellence and a truly personal, caring experience. I would confidently recommend Dr. Joshua to anyone--especially those with complex vision needs.

Dr. Gun is extremely patient and professional. He took the time to answer all of my questions and provided accurate, efficient care throughout the visit. The instruments are with latest-tech, shop is clean, modern, and well-maintained. The receptionist lady was also very kind and professional. She patiently helped me pick the best glasses for my face shape, addressed my concerns regarding lens thickness regulations, clearly explaining the differences between FDA standards and Hong Kong regulations, and quickly looked up all my messy insurance information. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely come back for contact lenses later.

Found this amazing place on yelp because I wanted to look for a place to check my vision and take care of my eyes near my workplace. Gave them a call to inquire their services, pricing and schedule an appointment. The lady on the phone was very informative and I decided to give this place a try. Drove to this place in few days later and the plaza has a lot of parking spots. The store is located a few stores away from 99 ranch market. They haven't put their sign up on the top yet so you have to pay close attention to the store signs up on the windows because they have a banner showing their business name hanging across. I was greeted by the receptionist in the store immediately after I walked in. She is friendly and helped me through the registration procedure before seeing Dr.Gun. Because I was born with cataract in my left eye so the whole eye check up exam every time takes a longer time and more procedures than a normal exam would take --- Dr Gun was extremely patient and took his time to help me through all the exams. He explained to me in details on the results and made sure I understand what is going on and what I need for followup. The whole exam thing took no longer than1 hour with all the complicated exams that I have to do. Fast, efficient and informative!! They also have a variety of selections on the frames and they had no problem checking for me on a frame I wanted even if they don't have them in their store! This place is Highly recommended and I will bring my parents here for Dr Gun to check up on them next time! Thank you!!

Dr.Gun is very professional and very knowledgeable. He was able to answer all my questions while providing accurate and efficient service! Also, lots of great frames to choose from ranging from popular brand like Ray Bans and Armani to high end Japanese brand Masunaga. Facilities are very clean and new as well! Receptionist is also very nice and quickly look up all insurance information. Overall, great experience and would definitely come back!

The staffs were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire visit. Dr. Gun took the time to guide me through each exam. he also thoroughly explain my eye exam results and answered all my questions with patience and clarity. It was evident that he genuinely care about their patients' eye health. I even learned from Dr. Gun that our eye's health is a reflection of our overall health! After going to so many different optometry clinics, I've selected Central Orange County Optometry as our family eye care clinic. They have brand new equipment that made the exam so pleasant and detailed. I always get anxious about eye exams due to that one machine that blasts my eyes with air, but they have newer equipment that can get the same measurements without assaulting my eyes! On top of getting a good prescription for glasses and contacts, Dr. Gun checked my entire eye to make sure everything was healthy. This is important because i learned that the health of my eyes reflect how the rest of my systemic health is doing. Instead of upselling and pushing things I don't need, Dr. Gun provided me with options and patiently explained the pros and cons of each options. That allowed me to make informed decisions regarding my vision needs. Whether you have kids or elderly family members, i wouldn't hesitate to bring them in. Nowadays, kids cannot escape screen time. Even at school, they are always on their chromebooks and ipads. I will telling my friends to bring their kids in for Ortho K treatment, which helps prevent their eyes from getting worse and their glasses from getting thicker and heavier. The clinic is also partnered with top surgeons at Nvision to provide lasik and cataract surgery for those who are interested.

I've been seeing Dr. Joshua Gun for my annual eye exams for the past five years, and his care is exceptional! He was previously at the Irvine location before opening his own practice, Central Orange County Optometry, just over a year ago. The service here is outstanding--appointments start right on time (my 3 PM slot began exactly at 3 PM). Dr. Gun is incredibly friendly, patient, and thorough, guiding me through every step of the evaluation and answering all my questions with care. His dedication to excellent patient service is why I've followed him for years and will continue to do so. Highly recommend Dr. Gun and his practice for top-notch eye care!
