The District Eye Care

I've been going to District Eye Care and seeing Dr. Lieu for about 10 years, and every visit has been an excellent experience. The entire team is knowledgeable, welcoming, and professional, and they never make you feel rushed. Dr. Lieu is incredibly patient and thorough, always taking the time to answer my questions and ensure I fully understand my vision needs. They also offer a great selection of frames, and the quality of the glasses and lenses they produce is exceptional. Before coming here, I used to go to a large wholesale retailer that offered very competitive prices. However, the glasses I received there never quite felt right--they were often uncomfortable or didn't correct my vision properly. The difference in process is clear. At District Eye Care, the measurements, analysis, and overall attention to detail are on a completely different level, and the quality of the labs they work with shows in the final product. Even as my prescription has changed slightly over the years, I've continued to use glasses I purchased from District Eye Care, while the glasses I bought from the discount retailer were usually abandoned after a couple of months because they simply didn't work well. What I initially thought was saving money turned out to be a classic case of you get what you pay for. The difference in quality, comfort, and usability is significant. In hindsight, what seemed cheaper at first ended up costing more because those glasses were rarely usable for long. If you're looking for a skilled optometrist, high-quality lenses, and a team that truly cares about your vision, I highly recommend District Eye Care. I'm genuinely grateful I walked through their doors all those years ago.

I was hesitant to write this, but after thinking it over for a week, I decided it was important to share my experience with the staff at District Eye Care. My optometrist visit on 11/15/25 was positive, but my interactions with the staff afterward were uncomfortable. I went in to update my lens prescription while keeping my existing frames. The staff member helping me brought over paperwork that was already filled out with specific lens options. He said these were the same options I had chosen in the past, but I wasn't given the chance to fully review or choose alternatives. When I asked about the charges, he explained them, but the prices were higher than I expected, and I felt pressured to agree. At times, when I said I didn't want certain add-ons, I was told I needed them or was steered toward costly mid-range options. Overall, the interaction felt pushy, and I didn't feel comfortable or heard. I did end up placing the order, but later emailed to ask if it could be canceled. The person who called me back seemed irritated by my request. Even when I tried to explain that I simply wasn't satisfied with my lens choices and wanted to save some money, the tone of the conversation made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. A few days later, I received a message from a woman named Sonia apologizing and asking to hear my side. However, when we spoke, the conversation was brief, and I was twice told that this "had never happened before," which made me feel that my experience wasn't really being acknowledged. When I went in to pick up my frames and receive my refund, the interaction again felt curt and uncomfortable. It reinforced my feeling that the staff is friendly when you're making a purchase but not as welcoming when you choose not to. I also noticed my refund was $10 short but didn't bring it up because I didn't want further conflict. After purchasing five pairs of glasses here for myself and my husband over the years, this experience was disappointing, and unfortunately, we will not be returning.

The staff here are wonderful and make you feel welcome. They have a good variety of glasses to choose from. I've been coming here for years. I stop by to get my glasses adjusted which they take care of me quickly.

I had an emergency and couldn't get in with an Opthamologist, so I called The District Eye Care, which is close to my home. Im so happy I did. The office staff were very professional and so kind, and Dr. Lieu told me that she could see me within and our. She was very patient and did all she could to elevate my fears. She recommended that I see an Opthamologist as soon as possible and even helped make a referral to help my Primary Doctor move this alone with my Insurance Co. She has called me twice to check on me, because she cares! I highly recommend her if you are in need of a great Optometrist!

Daniel was super helpful! I came in looking for a very specific pair of sunglasses and had questions about how to use my insurance allowance to purchase them. He took the time to help me find the right pair and explained the process clearly. Thanks so much Daniel!

The best ever!! Dr Lieu is so kind, thoughtful, detail oriented, and knowledgeable. Was the most comprehensive eye exam i have ever received. Andrew was also so nice and welcoming in helping me pick out my new frames. Everyone at the front desk is so so nice! Highly recommend

Friendly and competent staff who make every visit a great experience. It's a big plus that they offer Zeiss lenses. Highly recommended.

From the initial first call, the person who answered the phone was upbeat and nice. The doctor was very helpful and nice. She took her time.to explain things to me which my last optometrist did not. And finally, the guy who helped me pick out my glasses was helpful (as well) and funny to boot. I appreciate coming to an office with nice people. They did a great job all around
