California Eye Center Optometry - Van Nuys

I had an amazing experience with the very professional and caring doctors and staff. Dr. Mary and Dr. Harout were exceptionally compassionate and showed genuine concern for their patients. They truly care about people, unlike many other places that seem to forget the true meaning of being a doctor. I was very impressed by the time and patience they gave, thoroughly explaining everything and making sure I felt comfortable and informed. Highly recommended!

This review is overdue but well deserved. December 2021 was my first visit to this office, and I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, and etiquette that both Dr. Harout and his staff displayed. Dr. Harout's "bedside manner" is stellar! I appreciated how incredibly thorough he was and how patient and attentive he was to answer every single question and concern that I had. By far he has been the best eye doctor I have ever been to! I would absolutely recommend California Eye Center. I applaud this office with the work that they are doing and in the manner that they do it in. I wish I could recall the assistant's name that greeted me and prepped me prior to the Dr. coming in. He was just as amazing and brought me in coffee as the Dr. finished with another patient. It's the simple/small things that make a world of a difference.

I had an incredible experience at California Eye Center in Van Nuys!! I desperately needed an updated glasses prescription after years of putting off going to the eye doctor's. Extremely easy making my appointment over the phone! The receptionist I spoke with very pleasant and did not rush me at all. When I got to the appointment, I paid right there. While making the appointment over the phone they told me my price, and then I paid that exact amount with no extra charges (No insurance/I paid out of pocket). Once they were ready for me, I was helped by the kindest person ever: Ramsey, the technician! He is so so helpful and has such an infectiously happy demeanor that his time with me made my whole day! My favorite part of the appointment was how awesome and helpful Ramsey was. But, it takes great people to hire great people! Shortly after I met with Dr. Khanjian, who gave me his full attention and did not rush at all! He is so nice and explains things in such a great way. He definitely relieved the anxieties I had with getting a new prescription and letting me know it was ok that my eyes would need extra time to adjust. I've definitely talked about my experience with friends and family, and will continue to sing their praises and recommend California Eye Center as much as I can.

Love this place!! This is the first optometrist where I really felt like I was in good hands since my first visit. Dr. Khanjian always takes care of me and he really shows that he cares about his patients. Not ever have I been to an optometrist where they make you feel welcomed and know you by name. They even take care of your concerns. Just recently had an issue with my glasses thanks to my insurance but he took care of it right away, I was skeptical at first to come when I first went since I didn't know this place and I did see it had amazing reviews but sometimes some places buy their reviews but let me tell you this place isn't like that. All the good reviews are credible because I, myself have had just good experiences here and the frames are unique and nice and they also have brand names. So if you're looking for a good optometrist, I highly recommend you to come here.

My recent experience with Dr. Paronian has left me deeply impressed and genuinely grateful for the exceptional care she provided to my parents. From the moment we walked into her office, it was evident that Dr. Paronian is not only highly skilled in her field but also possesses a rare and sincere compassion for her patients. What stood out most during our visit was Dr. Paronian's attentive and thorough approach. She went above and beyond the standard care, taking the time to explain every aspect of the examination and treatment options in a way that was both understandable and reassuring. Her patience and willingness to answer all our questions showed a level of dedication and commitment that is truly admirable. Dr. Paronian's generosity was heartwarming. She provided my parents with free samples of their needed medications, a gesture that demonstrated her genuine care for her patients' well-being. This act of kindness was above and beyond what we had expected and speaks volumes about her character and values. In a world where the healthcare experience can often feel rushed and impersonal, Dr. Paronian stands out as a beacon of genuine care and empathy. Her dedication to her patients is evident in every interaction, and her generous spirit has made a lasting impact on my family. I cannot recommend Dr. Paronian highly enough to anyone seeking not just medical expertise, but also a doctor who truly cares about the individuals she serves. I went to this place around the 6th of May cause I had hand sanitizer in my eye from being to close and impatient and harshly pressing down on the bottle causing some to get in my left eye and I went beserk!!! The secretary was very kind to me when she answered the phone and promptly scheduled me an appointment, another assistant there was also kind into recognizing my pain and discomfort turned off the lights in one of the rooms I was waiting in and assured me that thankfully I didn't get metal in my eye! Which made me feel extremely relaxed and more calm cause thankfully I didn't! The doctor that saw me was professional and level headed when dealing with my childish behavior when having to check my eyes with this tool which shined some light in my eyes which were not damaged. I told them I would write this review and also appreciated the two different kinds of Madeline cookies they had sitting out in the waiting room which was enjoyable to partake when leaving the office. Thank you to everyone there for their kindness and professionalism.

Where do I begin.. Dr. Khanjian and Dr. Atanesyan are the most wholesome, caring and smartest doctors I have ever visited. I have been to plenty of optometrist, trust me I had been wearing glasses for 20 years. None of the doctors I had seen are nearly as great as them. They care for the patients like they are their own family members/friends. I was their patient for a handful of years before they finally gave me the okay to get lasik. Dr. Khanjian, Dr. Atanesyan and their wonderful staff set up everything for pre surgery and post surgery. They were super careful with the post procedure including plenty of check ups and even texts during the heat wave to make sure I was hydrating my eyes. The procedure was successful and I currently have 20/15 vision thanks to these gentlemen and all their friendly staff. Side notes: the office is super clean, always has an interesting Netflix show playing during your wait and parking is never an issue. Trust me when I say this, you will never see another optometrist again once you experience their professionalism and customer service. Prices are super reasonable and affordable for both the procedure and everyday esstienals such as glasses/contacts. Keep up the great work!

I absolutely LOVED this office. The staff, the doctors, the service? Top tier. The ladies at the front desk are super sweet and helped guide me through the process of getting new glasses. Recommending this office to all my friends.
