The only good thing about this office is the front-desk and nursing staff -- they're always polite and do their best. Unfortunately, that's where anything positive ends.
Dr. George Rajacich is unbelievably unprofessional and completely disrespectful of his patients' time. Every single visit means waiting for hours. I'm not exaggerating -- we've waited more than two hours on multiple occasions, and once we were stuck there for almost four hours past our appointment time. There's never any communication or apology, just endless waiting while your entire day is wasted.
It's clear that Dr. Rajacich has no regard for scheduling or basic respect for his patients. This level of disregard is unacceptable from any medical professional.
If you value your time and want a doctor who treats patients with even a minimum level of respect, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Pay attention to all the warnings of the long wait times. Even if you have an appointment scheduled. No matter what time your appointment is or what day it is, expect to wait at least two hours, for a simple eye doctor appointment. Even when you're perfectly healthy and just want to make sure it's staying that way. The people there are nice in general so nothing against them. They just need to either book less appointments, hire more doctors, or do a better job of time management. Either way, don't bother coming here unless you enjoy sitting around for hours. Probably the only upside is they have nice plants inside. Will be looking for a new place that is respectful of my time.
Update:
My appointment lasted almost 3 hours and towards the latter half I just hear the doctor telling stories with some other patients, meanwhile some people have been here for a long time. Doctor has zero respect for anyone's time. Terrible.
I had my Lasik surgery (nearsighted) years ago here, and I loved the whole experience. Great customer service, knowledgeable staff, especially the doctor that performed the surgery. Went in on a Friday afternoon for surgery, slept the whole night after surgery, and woke up next morning for a follow-up visit, seeing better than 20/20. I was and sleep am VERY HAPPY with my experience at this place
I have really liked the place a lot. I was under care of Dr. Azarian. She did really good job. Then she was let go by the company. Everything went downhill. I still gave this place a chance. Lately, it has been not the best experience. First, you have to wait 2-3 hours to see a doctor. I was waiting for about 4 months to get the cataract eye surgery. Dr. Rajacich himself stated that I should wait 4 more months to do the cataract surgery because there are new eye lenses coming out in spite the fact that my cataract was ready. At that time, I was not even given a chance to say that perhaps I don't want new lenses. I trusted the doctor and his MD expertise so I waited. I waited 4 months to just received a phone call saying that the Presbyterian Hospital is so booked that the surgy will be available in 6 months. Please note my cataract is super ready and ripe. I was quoted $2400 per lens so the surgery can be done in his office. I do not have that kind of money. He should have scheduled the surgery and put me on the list months ago knowing the backup the hospital has. I believe that Dr. Rajacich neglected my situation. He is the owner of the company and he knows that the hospital has a long waiting list. He was thinking about is his money pocket. He was not thinking what's best for the patient but what is best for his pocket. I was so disappointed.
Do you like waiting over 2 hours just to be seen for your scheduled appointment? If so this is the place to be! I have been here many times with multiple clients and the experience is always the same. Incredibly long wait times for what was a scheduled appointment. They also got rid of the coffee and cookies "because of Covid" so you have to sit there staring at the walls. For me this is not particularly an issue but for my elderly clients it's quite unfortunate. The place is beautiful and the staff is friendly but the wait is unbearably long.
My mother has been a patient there for a while to treat Glaucoma and follow up with them. My mother and I, who have given her rides and assisted with each visit recently, had to deal with unpleasant experiences from their possibly inexperienced or unhappy staff. We have such bad experiences with treating patients in greeting, schedule handling, unbearably long waiting time, interacting attitude in customer service, etc. With this exceptional covid-19 pandemic circumstance, I tried hard to understand them and be patient to see an improvement since I expressed and explained the issues we had after each visit. But still, yet, my wife and I did see nothing has changed until today. So I finally decided to write a review hoping their management team to be aware of what customers are experiencing there and hoping to see any interventions implemented and any improvement as a result before it became too late. Although we scheduled our appointment during less busy hours and arrived there on time, we had to stay there for a minimum of 2-3 hours, including waiting time to get approximately 10-20 min eye examination and maybe 10-20 min Dr's consultation as follows. It seems that they are always overbooking patients and made them wait for average 1-2 hours with no explanation and no excuse. I have never seen a smile from the front desk staff, and they look so annoyed to see patients made me wonder why they are there to service patients. We have no complaints with the Drs.
As so far l really like the place. Dr. Narine Azarian is absolutely outstanding doctor. She is so professional knowledgeable kind and because of her l am there. She made possible my trip to Poland. She was on the top of everything and recommended very good doctors to my laser surgery be done on time before the trip. The desk receptionists are very kind as well .
I called to schedule an appointment for an eye exam. The receptionist wanted to schedule an appointment for refraction as well as the exam. I only wanted the medical exam to first find out if I had cataracts. I didn't see a point in the refraction exam for glasses if I had cataracts. I would want to take care of them first.
The assistant said the refraction exam is necessary first and it would be $35. Of course the insurance doesn't pay for that. I initially selected this eye center because of the proximity to me and they accepted Medicare and my supplemental for payment.
Also on their website they advertised they take the Care Credit card. I was happy about that as I could get my glasses that way. After exams and beginning the process of ordering my glasses I was told they only took the Care Credit card on purchases of $1000 or more. I feel this is erring on the side of false advertising or maybe they are trying to sell you two pair of glasses rather than 1. I don't know what their thoughts are but I know mine! I choose to do my business elsewhere!
