Visionary Optometry: Dr. Kenneth Lay

Dr. Ken Lay & Lily are the best when it comes to Optometry in San Diego! They are definitely worth driving to because of the excellent care they provide. You can tell when you interact with them both that they care about you as a person along with your vision. Dr. Lay genuinely cares about making sure you have the best eye health he can provide and does so not only with great skill but will take time to teach you preventative measures and spend all the time he needs to educate you on what's wrong, why, and how to prevent/correct. I never felt pressured to buy glasses or do treatments like I have at other optometrists. They will work with you on what is best for you and your eye health. I highly recommend Dr. Lay!

I've been coming to Lily and Dr. Lay since I was a small child, and am now 31 years old, married and have moved multiple times experiencing other optometrists in the span of the years. I now drive an hour just to see them for regular appointments. They track my eyes as well as my personal life and health to a degree my own personal memory almost can't account for. The office is clean, professional, and invests in modern technology to do things such as glaucoma testing to make sure my eyes are in top shape. I trust them with anything and actually prefer Lily's opinion on glasses styling better than my wife's. GO HERE.

He has treated various eye conditions of my family and me for over 12 years and I have found everyone in Dr Lay's office provides professional and compassionate care at each visit. Dr Lay is by far the best Optometrist in San Diego' s North County. I have been a State Licensed Optican for 21 years. I work with eye doctors everyday. Dr. Ken Lay is by far the most skilled among them. Dr Lay is also the most humble and the most thorough Doctor I have ever received treatment from. He always takes his time with me. He listens, I mean he really listens to my concerns and responds to them one by one. He cares about every aspect of my eye health and vision needs. His prescriptions are always accurate. I have never had to return to be rechecked. I highly recommend Dr Lay and his wife Lily for any vision needs you or your family may ever need.

My daughter and I went to Dr. Ken Lay to get new prescription glasses. Both of us have many pairs done before , but never felt our eyesights were perfectly corrected with those glasses. Well, we thought maybe that's the way it is, and we shouldn't expect anything more. But today when both of us put on the new glasses Dr. Lay made for us, wow, the difference is huge. We can see things so much clearly without even feeling we were wearing glasses ! Also, Dr. Lay and his assistant, Lily, have helped me find the perfect frame, after spent time listening to my need. It's amazing and wonderful that I can see things so clearly with no added stress, for I used to get headaches from those old glasses. I will not hesitate to recommend Dr. Ken Lay to whoever needs eyecare, for he truly is the best one that I know.

Great family experience here. If you want to be treated like family and well taken care of for your optometry, this is the place. Great for kids and adults alike. We've been coming here for years and will continue to do so many more. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Excellent vision exam with Dr. Lay. He really takes time to understand what you need your glasses for, and advises accordingly.
