Another great visit at this location. Staff were all friendly and courteous. They were up front about all costs for the appointment and explained the different tests being performed. Dr. Wooldridge was personable and professional and it's always a good experience to see him for my yearly eye exam. Tammy who assisted with finishing up my exam today was also pleasant and respectful.
In the end, another great experience at this location.

I recently had an appointment at your Aurora branch with Dr. Gerlock, and I want to share my experience in the hope that it helps improve patient care.
During my visit, I felt that Dr. Garlock treated me in a way that was dismissive and disrespectful. When I asked questions about my options for vision correction, such as alternatives to monovision contact lenses, surgery, or FDA approved eye drops, she either interrupted me, gave minimal or no explanation, or simply said, "you just can't," without offering any medical reasoning.
I also felt that she underestimated my ability to understand the reasoning behind her decisions. Rather than explaining her recommendations clearly, she shut down nearly every question I asked. This approach minimized my role as an informed patient who is genuinely interested in understanding my options and finding the best solution for my vision needs.
During the vision testing itself, she positioned herself in a way that blocked my view during lens comparisons and did not allow me enough time to determine the clearest and most comfortable option. When I politely asked her to step aside, she instead ended the comparison entirely. This left me feeling rushed and unheard.
Dr. Gerlock also mentioned that she has not practiced in five years and was only "filling in." This comment, combined with her reluctance to discuss current treatment alternatives, left me with the impression that she may not be up to date with modern, evidence-based practices. It also gave the sense that she lacked a sense of belonging to the team or investment in the patients she was seeing, which contributed to the overall feeling of disconnection and lack of care during the appointment.
On a positive note, I want to acknowledge that the rest of the staff was kind, respectful, and diligent. The manager was especially understanding and quickly scheduled me for a second opinion with another doctor at no extra charge.
I am sharing this feedback because I believe patients deserve to be treated with respect, compassion, and clear communication. It is important that providers stay current with best practices and take the time to explain their reasoning to patients who want to be active participants in their care.
Had an excellent experience with my eye exam. The staff was very nice, professional and thorough. I left there with a complete understanding of my eye health and eyeglasses options with no pressure to buy. I highly recommend.
Excellent experience at this location. From the moment I walked in, Jessica made me feel welcome. She was friendly, helpful, and kind. The gentleman tech was efficient and nice. Dr. Vu was great; very personable. The glasses tech was also helpful and patient. I definitely recommend this team.
My experience with my eyeglass fitter, Marko, at 18801 E. Hampden Ave. Aurora, COLORADO 80013 was amazing. He adjusted my eyeglass perfectly. The first fitting was made by the front desk. They didn't have the experience to do this correct, so I returned a second and made sure Marko was availability and as I previous mentioned, he did a perfectly alignment.

They cancelled an appointment I had setup a week in advance due to other patients taking longer than expected. I planned my work day around this for them to then cancel a little more than an hour ahead of the appointment start time. Other patients should have to reschedule if they are taking longer or you guys should not over book.
Terrible experience! To start with, they charged me for things that didn't happen (fraud). I tried to order glasses through them adding the additional expense of getting the blue light blocker. Go to pick up the glasses, instantly makes me nauseous and very obvious that it doesn't have the blue light blocker on it. Tech said I just needed to adjust to the new glasses. Told her that wasn't the issue but I would just take the glasses since it seem to be the only option. She grabbed the glasses and said "no let me make sure it's the right prescription." Says it is and then tells me I need another appointment for the doctor to change the prescription. Ended up just returning them since I have already taken time off of work for these appointments and seeing the doctor that day wasn't an option. Worst part is I won't be able to use my medical benefits since it was use for this pair of glasses that don't work. So frustrating and terrible customer service here. Avoid if possible.
UPDATE: I have now been to this location 5 times in the last month. Ordered 2 pairs of glasses and neither worked. I tried to say on the second pair that something is still wrong but was told it was right. Apparently in 2025 it's normal to be nauseous the moment you put on your glasses. Again met with a bunch of "this is right, don't know what the problem could be" instead of actually trying to figure out the problem or what we could change. Had to return second pair and now having to go spend out of pocket money to an actual eye doctor to get glasses. Terrible place, please avoid!!!!
Come to this location!!!!!!!!!!! My ten years old daughter had her eye exam done at a different location but we chose this one because it is in our backyard. I'm so happy I did! Xica and Jessica are true professionals! Caring, empathetic and efficient!!!!!! Sending everyone I know your way
