Vision First Aurora

We have been going to them for years. This time we had Dr Killian. She was AMAZING especially with kids!! My son really liked her. Totally impressed. Louis helped us with the exam and chosing glasses and it was a great experience!!

I would give zero stars if that were an option. This was not a single mistake but a pattern of ongoing failures over more than three months. I encountered repeated administrative errors, incorrect prescriptions, missed orders, and consistently poor communication. Trial contact lenses were not ordered for weeks, a glasses prescription was written incorrectly and had to be corrected multiple times, and exchanges were mishandled after clear instructions were given. Even at the final visit, the refund was processed incorrectly -- I was refunded $47.00 instead of the correct amount, missing $0.94. While minor in dollar value, it accurately reflects the lack of precision I experienced throughout my care. At no point was accountability taken, and resolving these issues repeatedly fell on me as the patient. For a vision care provider, where accuracy is essential, this level of inattention is unacceptable. I do not recommend this location.

Doctor Pond is very knowledgeable and caring. He was able to put me at ease. Having a clear plan of treatment and moving forward. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

While the staff was friendly, there were hidden expenses that were not disclosed until after the exam. I did not appreciate this and wish they had been more forthcoming as to what procedures they were performing at what extra cost. I also felt a little pressured to purchase glasses through them, and as a result, I do not think I will be a returning customer.

Sharing my experience from 3 years ago. I still have and use the same pair of Oakley glasses today for work. I hope they can still order me a pair to be shipped with a prescription from a different doctor as I am now 3 hours away.

Matthew was very helpful and gracious, he was kind and understanding and went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me in finding the best glasses for my specific needs and at the best cost.

This office is completely unprofessional and disorganized. We've been patients here for nearly three years, but this latest experience was so unacceptable we won't be returning. The issues started before the appointment even happened. Dr. Davis canceled our original times, and when we rescheduled, the office later claimed those slots were unavailable. After multiple calls to confirm new appointments, we received a confirmation for the original (incorrect) time--only to find out the new ones were never entered. This led to even more back-and-forth just to get something properly booked. And when we finally arrived for the rescheduled appointment? We were left waiting 45 minutes past our scheduled time, then Dr. Davis rushed through in barely a few minutes each and was very curt when we asked questions telling us we needed to book another appointment. The exam was superficial at best, and it was clear Dr. Davis was simply trying to leave for the day. To top it off, our trial contacts still haven't been ordered, and we're now two weeks past our appointment. I had to call them to ask where the lenses were, and they said it was still marked as "pending" and they'd try ordering them again--but at this point, I have zero confidence they ever placed the original order. This office used to be decent, but it's gone seriously downhill. Between the lack of communication, careless scheduling, and rushed, inadequate care, it's clear they no longer value their patients' time--or vision. We'll be finding a new eye doctor as soon as we can get our prescriptions from this one.
