I just had my first appointment here today and it was a great experience from start to finish. The entire staff was so friendly. The Dr. was very thorough and I left being able to see which is most important. I will definitely recommend to my friends!

Recently moved to Castle Rock and was in need of a new eye doctor. I was super timid since I had gone to the same eye doctor for 12 years but The Meadows Family Eye Care did not disappoint! Dr. Reid and her team were super kind and helped me feel very comfortable through the whole process and I got stunning glasses after my exam. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new eye doctor!

My son was seen at this office after getting poked in the eye at school and had a corneal abrasion. He was prescribed a steroid eye drop and followed up the next day. He looked almost healed the next day and was told to continue the steroid eye drop for 10 more days. 10 days later (yesterday), he was having some very concerning symptoms with his eye - flashing lights, darkness all around except through the center, feeling pressure, etc. I called to get him in and was told they are overbooked this entire week. Luckily I was able to get him into another office because HIS PRESSURE IN HIS LEFT EYE WAS 52. It was from the eye drops. The provider said if we had gone in any later, he would have had permanent damage to his eye. He probably should have been scheduled for a 1 week follow up. I wasn't even told this could be an issue with the eye drops. Very concerning. Edited to add: This office uses the most incompetent billing company I have ever encountered. Just FYI.

I have been coming here for years with the prior owners. The grey haired gentleman who greets people couldn't be more rude! I asked for my prescription and he rolled his eyes at me. He proceeded to let me know my prescription for contacts had run out. I told him that's why I'm there. He printed out my prescription and wrote in enormous letters "EXPIRED" across the entire sheet. He tossed the paper at me and it actually went to the floor on my side of the desk. By the time I picked up the paper, he had walked off. I never got an appointment. I will NOT be back. Zero excuse to have such a horrible person greet people.

Had a great experience from start to finish. Dr. Ethan Brilley took the time to answer all my questions and picking out new frames was a breeze with the helpful staff. Thank you!

Like with most of the recent posts, we recently moved to the area and saw that this optometrist have very positive reviews (though they were not recent). In fairness, the doctor was actually very decent - patient and professional. However, the quality of the glasses and the general experience with the front office staff was terrible. They made my glasses twice, and still couldn't get them right. According to them, the reason why they made me a pair of standard progressive lenses with a very narrow field of vision (absolutely no peripheral focus) was because my insurance did not cover their "top tier" and to solve the problem I had to pay more for what was not "covered". I paid close to $1500 for two pairs of glasses and they wanted me to dish out more money?? To help put it in perspective, I told them that I could buy a roundtrip ticket, fly back to Chicago where my last pair was made correctly (on the first try), have a nice meal, and still spend less money than what they had already charged me. The front office staff seemed amused, smiling derisively at our expense and the person dealing with us simply shrugged her shoulders and said that it was going to take me paying more out of pocket to fix the field of vision problem because it had to do with the "quality of the lenses". My wife was also trying to figure out if her glasses were made correctly but they seemed more concerned about her looking "cute" versus verifying that she could see well - it was she that noticed that the front desk staff was drawing amusement from our frustration, and even the front office manager was laughing inside his office (she could see him through one of the display mirrors). When we asked for a refund (wife and I spent over $2500 on three pairs of glasses), they made no attempt to explore other alternatives or to actually fix the problem. Instead they wished us luck with a snarky grin, because apparently we're "too hard to please". We have bought glasses from other boutique optometrists, as well as from Costco and also Walmart - not only did they get them right the first time, they also did it for a reasonable cost and without being rude to us. Spend the time reading the most recent posts/reviews, because there is definitely a trend. Even the gentleman sitting next to us was there because they failed to make his eyeglasses correctly, and we could hear him trying to explain why they felt out of focus.

This optometry practice is 100% AWESOME! Rates for services were on par or more affordable compared to five others I inquired to. The office staff went above and beyond to inquire with my health insurance to get me an annual exam benefit. Other practices either didn't work with my insurance or said I didn't have that benefit. I was able to get an appointment within a matter of days, which was great as my contacts were running out. The reception and optical tech were friendly and time efficient. The optometrist had great bedside manner and informed me about my eye health and things to watch out for down the road more so than any other optometrist had before. The optician was friendly and priced matched to where I usually order contacts. Contacts arrived quickly and pickup was a breeze. All in all an outstanding experience. I will definitely be back. Thanks for being incredible! Update: Returned for a second year of eye exam/contact lens prescription/purchase and the experience was just as incredible as last year. Thanks!
