ABBA Eye Care - Fountain

Went here for a VA pair of glasses. First was told I didn't have an appointment, then it was going through insurance then after insisting it was through the VA and continuing to show them the VA paperwork and playing the voicemail confirming my VA appointment they found the VA appointment. Was told oh yes we can order those you have now. When I got my glasses they looked more like those that an 100 year old wears on the end of their nose. Also the lenses were all cloudy. Nothing like the ones I wear now except they have a frame and have lenses. VA needs to get a different provider.

Dr. Pierre is the kindest and warmest doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was genuinely just an amazing human to meet, and you can tell he works with equally incredible people like Jessica. She took so much time with me and made sure I was well taken care of. She was informative, professional, and kind. Without a doubt, if you need to go somewhere for eye care, please go here. The standard of excellence the entire team exudes is worth the trip on its own, but when you combine that with how intentional the staff are about making you feel like a human being and not just another patient to get in and out the door, I don't think five stars is enough. The quality of care here is superb. 10 stars if I could.

Feb 7, 2026: This review is a bit delayed by a few weeks. The manager and staff worked with me to get my prescription and glasses corrected. It ultimately took three pairs from the VA, but the third pair was correct. The staff and management were determined to make everything right, even though it required several attempts. There were no additional costs to me, as my glasses are provided through the VA. Dec 15, 2025: A manager called today and offered to forward a distance prescription to the VA and get me the glasses I originally requested. He also emailed me the prescription so I can purchase frames that I want rather than the limited VA frame options. I bumped up the rating to 2 stars, if I get the glasses from the VA, I'll bump it up again. Dec 12, 2025: I was referred here by the VA for an eye exam and new glasses. I received two light prescriptions when I was active duty and close to retirement, one for reading and one for distance. The glasses I received were really basic with no upgrades such as glare resistance, scratch resistance, etc. So, this time I was hoping to get some glare resistant glasses for driving, and I stated this to the technician, doctor, and front counter personnel putting in the order. The order takes awhile to go through the VA and for the VA to mail out the glasses. I was pretty excited to get my glasses because I was driving out to the Chicago area to visit family. It's about a 16 hour drive and the glasses would take some of the eye strain away during such a long drive. I received my glasses a few days prior to my trip and was extremely disappointed. For whatever reason the doctor had prescribed reading glasses. After going through the above explanation with every person I encountered at ABBA, I ended up with reading glasses. I'm sorry but when 3 "professionals" don't notice the mistake, or can't look at the prescription after speaking with the customer and pick up on the discrepancy, then I don't need to go here anymore and I will pass that along to the VA and everyone else I come across.

Scheduled me for an appointment at the Fountain Mesa location and when I arrived they told me it was scheduled at another location. I showed them the VA letter showing the appointment location but that didn't matter. I do not recommend any eye care provider that can't even get appointment scheduling right.

Kylie is amazing she is very knowledgeable with all the frames and is great adjusting the frame for you and her customer service is just top notch best personal hands down

So I posted the below review 5 days ago. The response I received was that they would like to fix the situation and for me to provide my information so management can contact me shortly. Well I sent my information the same day and a 2nd time the following day. Guess what I still have yet to receive a call or email back. The below bow review is a bit long. So today I went to the ABBA on Mesa Ridge in Fountain to see if they could fix my Glass that I got from them though the VA. The one female blond staff that attended to me asked may I help you. I informed her that I need my broken glasses repaid. She looked at the glasses and said that there's nothing we can do to fix the glass and that I should take them to visionworks and maybe they can fix them. I informed the lady that I got the glass here through the VA. She said that they are from the VA and they were not purchased from the store. Her tone was so idegrading/belittling. A that theres nothing she could do and I would have to contact the VA about the glasses. The way she said that they were from the VA made me feel ashamed and degraded. Like I was on welfare or that I couldn't afford glasses. I told the lady that they replaced my broken glass last year and they took care of everything with the VA. I asked her twice if she could contact the VA and see about replacing the glass, she said that she would in a very hesitant manner call the VA and let me know that they say. I will wait for a call back. Not good Customer service. If ABBA got me the glass through the VA then they should take ownership of the glasses not try to send me off to try and get them fix at another place. Thanks for taking care of your veterans

I didn't wait long at all! The Doctor was very in touch with me on what my needs were with my eyes!! All in all very happy!

It was my first time ever getting an eye exam and they went Above and beyond to take care of me. Definitely recommend.
