Costco Optical Department

The specialist Jennifer D gave my boyfriend and me such an outstanding customer service. We ended up buying 3 glasses and only went to get one, she told us about the promotions and the perks of costco members. Thank you so much!

Poor customer service, dismissive of complaints, overly expensive, and does anyone ever pick up the phone? Your voicemail box has been full for weeks now. I'm going to Walmart Optical.

Updated: 5/9/2025 Initially (a month ago) I wasn't too impressed with this place. This is a new optician called Ellington Eyecare. They do Virtual eye appointments with in-person testing by a technician in the store. Video quality for the virtual exam with the doc was poor and things were a little unorganized. Also, one of the machines was not working correctly, so I had to come back. I went back for a follow-up exam and this time the video quality had improved a lot. Still could be better. Also, they were a little better organized. Still not sure if I would come here again or go to an in-person optician but the Doctor and technician were both great.

I have been to many optometrists over the years, and after my appointment with Dr. Jennifer Etchandy, I will never go anywhere else. She was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and took time to answer all my questions. It's never fun going to the doctor, but Dr. Etchandy and her staff made the entire process a wonderful experience. On a side note, I was also able to get a bargain on toilet paper and a rotisserie chicken on my way out the door which is always a bonus.

The optometrist is very lovely! However, Wendy, the women who takes the payment could be better at her job. She told me after 7-10 I would get an automated phone call when my glasses arrived. When it had been 10 days I called and Wendy answered to tell me the same thing, that I should get an automated call. Today after it being 2 weeks, I decided to call again, praying to god it wouldn't be Wendy that answered. Luckily someone else answered the phone today and she let me know my glasses have been there for 5 days!!!! I do recommend getting your eye exam here, but do not get your frames here!

Dr Jennifer Etchandy is honestly the best optometrist I've seen and I've been seeing vision specialists for 20 years. Attentive, kind, and trustworthy, she gave me fast, reliable, satisfactory care. Will return!

I have been using Costco for my vision needs for close to 15 years. The pricing is by far, the best around. The doctor/optometrist onsite in Parker is very good. Just got three pairs of glasses for the wife for the price of just on frame at the other vision places. One thing to mention -- all frames are pretty much now made in China and they dont last. Costco changed their return policy and there is no warranty AT ALL anymore. So, take that for what it is. But we go thru glasses often because of eyesight changes at my age, scratches etc., so Costco is still THE place to get our glasses.

I was impressed with the optician and the selection of eye wear. But after explaining that my glasses were meant for computer use they put the wrong tint in them. They agreed to waive the shipping charge to send them to me after correcting. I was told I needed to be available to sign for them so I had them sent to my office, however when I got home from work there was a notice...they were sent to my home instead. Kind of sloppy follow through. Disappointing.
