Premier Eye Surgery Center of Colorado

What a wonderful surgical center! I recently had two cataract surgeries there, one on the 6th and the second on the 20th of this month. I was so impressed with the experience! The entire staff was outstanding - from the front desk reception to prep nurses and surgical team - excellent care. Working with my amazing surgeon, Dr. Stewart, my vision has been restored to 20/20!! I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a quality surgical center that puts their patients first. I could not be unhappier with the service I received here. I had a cataract procedure over 3 years ago. After confirming with insurance this would be covered fully before the surgery, except for the anesthesia, I am now receiving bills. 3 years after service. No EOBs, no notice from Premier, never a word from them or insurance. Just a very large bill for over $3,000 out of the blue. Following up with my insurer they told me the reason this was unpaid was that Premier miscoded the procedures and over a period of time it was rejected by insurance under a timely billing issue. The billing person, Elizabeth, is completely unhelpful. After giving multiple unbelievable reasons and taking multiple months to return correspondences she refuses to escalate this to a supervisor. She originally told me she doesn't even answer phone calls because, "I get so many." I tried to contact her over 75 times by phone in a week. I was told a week ago a supervisor would call me Monday, nothing. Then today, Thursday, she calls back and said she talked to a supervisor and they said I should pay. I would recommend going anywhere but here. I wish I never had the procedure done at all.

Went there for cataract surgery. They are amazing. Fron the time I checked in to the time I was taken back. My nurse Emily did an outstanding job, and with the help of Dr. Keller my vision is back to 20/20. Thank you

No one enjoys surgery. However , this staff is so professional, kind, gentle and thorough; it put me at ease. They don't simply talk at you, they converse with you, ask questions and they listen. Whatever fears or concerns you have going in quickly dissipate once these very competent nurses take you into their realm of care. Their smiles, warmth and compassion put me into a state of healing before my procedure even began. The entire process was smooth and painless! Highly recommend!

Very fine establishment with an excellent staff using the latest technologies. You are treated with respect and compassion from the moment you walk in the door until your procedure(s) are done including a comprehensive follow up and phone calls making sure you are okay and doing well. Having professionals work on your Eyes is a very concerning time and they have the experience to make it quite easy for all their patients. I highly recommend this facility for your eye care.

In my 75 years I have never been to a lab, hospital, or surgery center where a medical assistant of any kind could not find a vein until I went here for eye surgery. The procedure was delayed for a couple of hours while two technicians fished around until I asked them to please stop. It was left to the anesthesiologist to find one. I had to tell him during the procedure I was certain it felt no sedation. The procedure was stopped midway through while jhe unsuccessfully made more attempts. After a while, I hah had enough and requested that he surgeon continue without sedation, which she did. Mind you, this was surgery on my eye. Luckily, it's a short procedure.. At this time almost a month later,, the muscle in that eye throbs and my vision is so blurry that walking is dangerous, I can't see well enough to perform simple yet necessary tasks, and I suffer from headaches, which previously I had seldom experienced.

If you have another option....do that. The facility doesn't let family be part of things at all, ask questions or explain. They hand you a piece of paper and move you on. Cold and not a nice experience .
