Vision Transformation

I can't give Dr. Kruger and her staff enough stars! She is the BEST eye doctor on the planet for my daughter, who has Down syndrome. When other eye doctors were at a loss on how to even begin to help my daughter, Dr. Kruger was able and willing to spend the time it took to work with my daughter and make sure she was prescribing glasses that would improve her life, with much success! Since my daughter was very young, Dr. Kruger has done whatever it takes to help my daughter see her best, and she truly CARES about my child. I also take my neuro-typical kids to Dr. Kruger, and they love her! She was able to prescribe therapies for them that helped them track on the computer better and do better in school overall, so that they could perform at their highest levels. Take your kids here. Go see Dr. K yourself. You will NOT be disappointed!

Dr. Kruger and her staff are AMAZING!!! Working with Judy in my therapy was nothing but the best treatment. As silly as some of the treatment seamed at first, it really did work for me, I saw results almost always right away. Simple and very fun! Judy was always able to work with my schedule, witch was another great benefit. In my option, receiving the different light therapy treatments has been a huge important part of my recovery. I am a firm believer in Dr. Kruger's work. I am still continuing and will continue to use my light colored glasses as needed. I highly recommend the services provided by Vision Transformation. Dr. Marisa Kruger has fixed all my vision problems especially now with my close up vision failing. She is a wonderful person and she knows what she's doing! I feel so thankful and would highly recommend her to all my friends and family!

I got connected with Dr. Kruger from a practitioner that changed my perspective on vision back in Arizona. I'd had worsening vision problems since childhood, but was experiencing even more difficulty and I was in my mid twenties. No other eye doctor could explain why and just put me in stronger and stronger lenses (and bifocals). While this helped me see better, it didn't sit right with me and I wanted to know WHY my eyes were like this. Dr. Kruger helped me understand how vision works, and then also how it responds to stress and trauma -- essentially figuring out that between a few concussions and PTSD my eyes and vision could not relax to work properly -- and that getting the eyes to work is more about relaxation. I've gone from a -4.75 x 1.75 x 180 progressives in my glasses to working on actually improving my vision. Currently in - 2.5 x .5 x 180. I know that actually changing my vision will take time. While it can be frustrating being in "weaker" lenses, I know that for MY goals improving my vision naturally will improve my health, that my eyes are connected to my brain and that if I want long term brain health, that will come with vision health. Dr. Kruger has worked with me on my goals at my pace, while also teaching me big picture concepts that help me work on my vision in my day to day.

It saddens me to write this review. We spent three years in eye therapy for my daughter. I like Marisa and her staff, especially Judy, who has a lovely rapport with children. However, my child did not have an advocate in Marisa. She would not listen to my daughter that the glasses she was prescribing did not work and made her vision worse. My daughter felt disbelieved and bullied by her. I took my daughter to a different optometrist yesterday for a second opinion, and everything my child said, this doctor confirmed. His response when I told him about Marisa's actions was that people have "different philosophies" and that we could try a different therapist. We've already wasted thousands of dollars and more than a hundred hours on vision therapy, and the child's sight is no better.

I've never experienced optical-to-whole body care such as this! I started going after being rear-ended while sitting at a stop light. They helped me understand the impact on peripheral vision, balance and so much more and helped within a couple months in 2017. I just went to my 4th annual visit yesterday and I always learn something new to incorporate into my well being. This true holistic care is unparalleled.

In addition to performing a traditional eye exam, the Dr. evaluated my entire visual system by looking at my eye movements and performance throughout a series of functional vision tasks. The problems I experienced after my car accident were greatly improved through their vision-based neurorehabilitation, the use of prism lenses, and vision therapy. Together the treatment aided in recalibrating my brain and visual system. Thank you so much for all your help!

Dr. Kruger is a very experienced functional optometrist, meaning she prescribes for how you use your eyes as opposed to just your acuity.
