Family Vision Center LLC - Stratford

Unprofessional and unethical clinic. They refused to see my daughter for a vision exam just because I didn't have the physical insurance card, even though I provided the insurance number. Other small clinics have no problem verifying insurance in the system. They cancel appointments quickly without trying to help, communicate, or offer options. They seem more concerned about getting paid than about their patients--especially children. Very disappointing experience. I do not recommend this clinic.

I have been going here for a few years now. They are very thorough and answer questions. The doctors and staff are great. I would recomed them to everyone looking for a eye doctor

I myself,wife and son have been going to this location for over 9 years and I just had a medical emergency, and needed to be seen ASAP. Was told they were booked and just took me lightly and scheduled an appointment for almost a week after. Did not even suggest to go to hospital. There service had been ok, with the exception of high priced for lense and frames but I will never step into this location again. I found out a much better facility with a true and proven staff which handles emergency issues like I just had and even though I never been to this location, they took me on the spot and verified I had a partial tear on my retina, bleeding inside of eye and possible glaucoma. I was highly impressed the care I was given. The staff at family vision need to listen carefully to customers concerns and if they can't provide the service, at least direct the customer to get proper care

We had an excellent experience at Family Vision Center. Dr. Brown and associates are wonderful. It was a mother/daughter check-up and we picked out glasses. There really was no wait at all from start to finish! The atmosphere is very calm and the office is extremely clean, which I love. The best in eye care with a variety of frames and contact lenses to choose from.

After about a year, my lenses turned yellow. They said that they had never seen that before and they replaced them, acting like they were doing me a favor because they were slightly out of warranty. Guess what? The same thing happened with the replacement lenses. Again, I was told that they had never seen such a thing! They told me that my only choice was to buy a new pair of glasses, and that they would not give me any sort of price break. I have been wearing glasses for over 50 years and have never seen such a thing. I have old glasses that I kept for spares, no such issues. I would suggest using a "real" glasses store, with experienced technicians, and hopefully, owner operated. It doesn't cost anymore, and they are so much more professional. I have used Park Lane in Fairfield, but there are other local businesses. Also, many ophthalmologist offices have in house shops. I would stay away from here due to questionable knowledge and experience.
