Connecticut Vision Associates : Dr. Allise Markowski

I just left my first visit to this office. I've been going to a very large practice where no one really knew who I was even after 10 years or so. All the staff were welcoming and thoughtful. Dr. Markowski spent more time with me in one visit than I had in total with my prior practice. The testing by Shannon was thorough and comfortable. Dr. Markowski explained my eye issues and options so that I finally understand What's going on. If you want a competent and personal eye Dr. , you should definitely consider this practice!

Guess I'm definitely in the minority here. Only my 3 star rating? Oh well, it is what it is. So I Ordered some Transition Xtractive lens that should darken in the car. First of all, I would think spending $500 + on glasses I'd get an itemized receipt as to what I ordered. Like yunno.. Zeiss anti reflective, scratch resistant, Transition Xtractive lenses in dark gray, etc.. Nothing... Only an email from Amex that a large purchase was charged to my card.. OK..My bad for not asking. My fault. So glasses come in, and I notice after a few days that they are not darkening in the car. Seems like I received the less expensive, Gen S, that do not darken in the car as I discovered on my own. Not my fault this time !!. Is a minor issue?. NO, especially when I paid for the more expensive lens. So I mentioned this, and the staff then checked the PO, and it seemed the vendor did in fact fill my prescription with the less expensive Gen S lenses.. because they were out of the Xtractive lens that my insurance company would cover. Well, please let me know when i placed the order, as I was told on my initial visit when i ordered the glasses that my insurance did in fact cover the Xtractive lens. I would have gone elsewhere if their supplier could not fill the " Xtractive" prescription with my insurance. They did however resolve the issue after another month of waiting.. i believe they used a different vendor.. i dont know. My issue was the staff should have verified what the vendor delivered before sending me on my way initially. Before even calling me and saying my glasses were in. OK experience i guess. I get that mistake happen.. But poor initial due diligence for the customer to discover their mistake. Costco i can undetstand, but a highly rated local optician.. I expected more. Will go elsewhere next year when I'm due for another prescription.

I had my first appointment at Ct Vision today and it was a very positive experience. Dr Markowski is very personable and knowledgeable and I had great confidence in her recommendations.

Everyone in the office that I met for my appointment was absolutely knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. The office is very clean and welcoming. I can not say enough about how truly happy I am with my experience. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family.

I have been a patient of Dr. Markowski's for the last 10 or so years. I started seeing her when she was at a different practice just starting out. I was probably 12 or 13 years old and needed vision therapy, and working with Dr. Markowski changed the course of my life. I was having extreme daily headaches and the work we did together helped tremendously. I have since moved across the state and will gladly make the hour and a half drive to stay a patient of hers. My mother used to be a patient before she moved to New Jersey, and is considering making the drive back up to Suffield for the sole reason that Dr. Markowski is incredible and no other provider that she has tried has even come close. In addition, the staff is wonderful, and I feel welcome and at home, and I have never once felt like just another patient. They genuinely care and I am so happy to be a patient.

The office staff was very professional and kind, starting to the phone conversation to the office visit. Dr. Markowski is a lovely person; she is positive and kind. Professionally, she was very thorough, explained everything she was doing, recommended minimum treatment and she would advance treatment as needed. Her nurse was very personable also. I would highly recommend Dr. Markowski and her staff to anyone who is looking for or in need of an eye doctor.

Very nice environment, everyone is friendly and nice. Didn't have a wait and was examined efficiently. Also given good preventative and informed information for eye health long term.

Of all the doctors offices we've been in--- this office is without a doubt the friendliest we've ever been in. Also the competency of the ENTIRE staff is outstanding . On a scale of 1-10, I give all of these ladies an 11.
