I want to share my story here. It's been three weeks since my surgery, and I feel like my life has started all over again. I've had poor vision for as long as I can remember, always wearing glasses. Over time, my eyesight got worse -- even more so after giving birth and being in a car accident. I couldn't work or even go anywhere with my child without my glasses. They broke countless times, and my little one was always trying to snatch them off my face and throw them -- almost like he was hinting, "Mom, it's time to fix your vision." I didn't spend a long time choosing a doctor -- I immediately trusted Dr. Marc E. Bosem. During the consultation, I was told I was a great candidate for LASIK. The exam was extremely thorough; at one point, I felt like they were getting ready to launch me into space! Next, I had to pick a surgery date. I wanted to get it done as soon as possible, though of course I was nervous. In the end, my surgery was scheduled just a couple of days after the consultation. I was so excited -- as a doctor myself, I expected a recovery period, some pain, and discomfort. But what happened completely exceeded my expectations. The procedure was quick -- just 7 minutes -- and it was over. Right after surgery, I could already see, like through tinted glass, but I could tell the image behind that "glass" was sharp and clear. I took one painkiller before leaving the clinic and wore dark sunglasses. My husband drove me home, I took a nap -- and woke up with perfect vision. I didn't even need another painkiller. It was perfect. I followed all the post-op instructions, used the prescribed eye drops, and still wear sunglasses outdoors. I had braced myself for a tough recovery, pain, and extreme dryness -- but none of that came, at least not the way I imagined. And the biggest "side effect" after surgery? A deep, almost childlike joy. Every single day since, I feel like I've been reborn. I can see my husband, my child, all the little details and textures I missed before. It's incredible. My life has improved 100% since the surgery. If you're still on the fence about getting vision correction -- do it. This was the best medical experience of my life. I went to CorrectVision for an initial consultation for cataract surgery. The office is clean, pleasant and professional. Dr. Kaplan spent several minutes with me and clearly explained what was recommended for my somewhat complex situation. Unfortunately, the session ran longer than anticipated and I had to leave before talking to the financial person...so I do not know what the outcome-of-pocket expense will be.

I recommend Dr. Bosem and his staff with the highest levels. He was very accommodating towards me and my parents. Explaining the process through and through to make sure this is what I wanted. I didn't feel a thing in surgery. The recovery process was quick as well. As long as you keep on your drops and schedule you should have a good recovery. After wearing glasses since the first grade and now getting lasik at 30 years. It's been a game changer.

3-Month Post-Op Review Dr. Boseman's experience is phenomenal, and his staff is just as great. Ruth was especially kind and informative throughout the process. The team checked my eyes not once, not twice--but three times to ensure I was a candidate. When things looked uncertain, they didn't just guess--they sent everything to Dr. Boseman for direct approval. While I wasn't eligible for LASIK, I was a perfect candidate for PRK! And the financing options were perfect! The surgery itself was absolutely painless. The only real sensation was the cool splash of water in the eye. Each eye took about 2 minutes, and I was already seeing clearer the same day. What really stood out was the follow-up care. Dr. Boseman personally texted me later that day, and I was able to message him any time I had doubts or questions during recovery. That level of access and reassurance is rare and deeply appreciated. Now, let's be real--the second day was rough. It was definitely the most painful part of the experience. But after getting through that, it was mostly smooth sailing. There was some blurriness and temporary vision fluctuation as the corneal tissue reformed, which is totally normal. By the end of the first week, I was already seeing 20/15. Now, I'm happy to say that after 3 months, I have 20/15 vision in each eye--nearly 20/10 when using both together. I barely use eye drops anymore, but if you're going through PRK, I highly recommend Optase for both daily and nighttime use. It made a big difference during healing. Absolutely worth it.
