Coral Gables Eye Care

I came here one month ago to get an eye exam. Everything went well. I placed an order for my lenses without new frames because I want to keep my current ones. I paid around 575 dollars which is to be expected given that I don't have insurance. They told me that it will take about 2 weeks to make those lenses. I was ok with that, but by the 3rd week I never received a call to notify me they were ready. I had to call them to find out they had them for a while. When I go to pick up my new lenses they told me it takes an hour to install and that there's no guarantee if my frames break. I was ok with all this until that hour passed and I went back to the place to pick them up. I get there just to find out they had cut the lenses wrong and they couldn't do anything except place a new order. They never called me within that hour to at least tell me about this issue so that I don't waste my time. Turns out they had the wrong phone on file. I asked them to update it to my correct number and I was told they will call me when the new lenses are ready. They told me it'll take a week. I call back by then and I was told it's not ready. 2 more weeks pass by, which at this point it's been more than 1 month in total that passed. Eventually I did get my new lenses, and prescription wise they did a good job, but the lack of communication is what irks me. The multiple times I had to drive all the way to coral gables which is far for me. I thought being corals gables it would have been a better experience than another place near by. The staff is nice but I would recommend that the commutation be improved. That way everyone saves time. Not to mention that I had also ordered nose pads for my frames and I was told I was charged for them, and that they will be ordered when in reality I wasn't. That was just very confusing. I will mostly likely not return to this place.

Very helpful, extremely helpful staff. They were very kind helping me with my walker. Dr. Scher was excellent, again careful of my walker. She was able to make the corrections I needed for my glasses!!

Id be very cautious with any examination from this place and the Doctor we had. I took my mother to another Doctor for an exam later only to find out that she had 20/20 vision on one eye and the other was negligible so she only needed reading glasses at best which I could have bought her without prescription at any CVS instead of paying close to the $500 they made us pay for a pair of glasses here that she didn't need. They could have just been honest about it and told us to get a pair of over the counter reading glasses instead of taking advantage of an elderly person on medicare, knowing we would pay for that out of pocket, as it is not covered by Medicare. I only gave it the 2 stars for the nice staff who are just following orders but not part of this taking advantage of or misunderstanding of our seniors.

I have been coming to this office for about 15 years. Great ambiance and knowledge Dr. Their customer service is outstanding and they have a variety of glasses to choose from kids to adults.

Very pleased with my services here! After being misdiagnosed at another facility this establishment was able to help me get back on the right track, and also save money! I have a family medical history of eye problems, and I take my care very seriously. They answered all my questions, and were patient with me. I highly recommend! I will be returning every year.

Came in yesterday for my annual check up, this is my second time here and will keeping coming. Quality if anything has increased! Zero wait time, the team member is well connected. Dr. Scher made the process really smooth, answered all my questions and had me out in no time! As you walk out, they also make sure you are set up. I took advantage of getting an annual supply of contacts to qualify the rebate. My wallet appreciated that. Big bonus - ran into an old friends I hadn't seen in a few years! I'll definitely come back for my next exam.

Great service from Lurdes and all the team. We had a problem with the glasses and they fixed very fast. I definitely recommend it!!
